Do you ever wake up and feel like an empty shell of someone? I managed to drag myself out of bed after the club incident the night before and took a long look in the mirror. My lip was still a bit swollen, and I winced as I ran my tongue over it. The thoughts that invaded my brain stopped me dead in my tracks, the thought of Andy's tongue running along my lips as he fucked me, my body begging for more-
No. I shook my head and headed into a scalding hot shower, trying to wash away the nights memories. It's not that I wanted to hate Andy, I had agreed to this life he gave me, but the anger I felt on the other end of his hand last night changed things. I had been snapped into another mindset, almost sobering me back into the reality that this life was dangerous. I had gotten too comfortable here and forgotten I was surrounded by vampires and others who were loyal to them. Sighing, I headed out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I made my way to my dresser, seeing the time was almost passed noon. Normally Marla would've been waking me up by now if i'd slept in, saying something about being so lazy and needing to find myself a life. Haha. This was my life, sitting around this mansion and waiting for a vampire to decide when I was needed.
After drying my hair and adding as much make up as I could to diminish the blemishes from last night, I slid into a pair of skinny black jeans and a shirt I was suspicious didn't belong in my dresser. It was a worn looking misfits tshirt that smelled so much like Andy it might've been his. Quietly, I went downstairs in search of some food my stomach so desperately needed. I rounded the corner into the kitchen and almost ran right into Marla who was cleaning the floors.
"Oh dear, you're going to get your feet all-"
Her sentence stopped dead in it's tracks when she looked up at me. If it were possible for someone to look as angry as Andy had last night, Marla looked about there.
"Why?" No who, because somehow she knew Andy had been to blame.
"I disobeyed him and interrupted him and some other vampires in the back of the club last night." My voice was barely above a whisper, and I ducked my head and went to the fridge. I fished out some leftover pasta and went to warm it up. Marla had disappeared somewhere as I did without another word.
As the day drew on, I found myself outside digging into another comic of Andy's when my phone dinged. I had let it charge during the night, trying to get up the courage to confront my so called best friend. It looks like I didn't have to.
Sam: We need to talk.
I rolled my eyes at the message.
Layla: Do we?
Sam: Yes. 8 o'clock my place?
Layla: I'll need to ask Andy. I don't make any promises.
My stomach twisted in a knot at the idea of knowing for sure whether or not she had sold me to Andy. She knew i trusted her with my life. Maybe that had been a mistake.
"Good afternoon kitten."
I jumped and dropped my phone, succesfuly causing the screen to go black.
"Fuck."
I picked it up and hit it, trying everything to get it to light up again. There was no bringing it back.
"What was that?"
Andy came up from behind me and crouched beside me, taking the phone from my hand and examining it.
"Hmm i suppose your cursing was valid. I'll take you to the mall tomorrow and we will get you another one, how does that sound?"
I looked up at him from where i sat on the ground, his head a few feet over mine. He smiled, putting the phone in his pocket and standing.
