11) Spanner in the works

"Yes we are. But please Andy, don't tell anyone or else we could get into a lot of trouble." April tried to make it clear that this was a secret. Meanwhile, Taylor was beginning to panic. April and Andy seemed to hate each other and now they would have to trust Andy not snitch on them.

Katie stood looking extremely proud of herself. "So this was a dirty little secret." She grinned evilly.

"Katie, can I talk to you for a moment." Taylor grabbed her arm and dragged her away from April and Andy.

They went behind some trees towards the back of the park. Katie walked with her head held high while Taylor looked like she could murder someone.

"So, Tay, what do you want to talk about?"

"You are actually the worst." Taylor snarled.

"Oh come on babe. You love me really." She placed a hand on Taylor's shoulder which was immediately smacked away.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I think I've made that pretty clear. I want you back. I miss you."

Taylor sighed and looked down at the ground. "Look, if you remember correctly, it was you that ended our relationship so why do you want to get back together now?"

"I realised I made a mistake. You were the best thing to ever happened to me and I'm so sorry for acting like you weren't." She tried again with the hand on Taylor's shoulder. This time she didn't brush it away. They just stood in silence, staring into each other's eyes, trying to figure the other out.

"I'm happy with April."

"You would be happier with me."

Taylor gulped loudly. In truth so had only really gotten over Katie when she started dating April. But she isn't a rebound. She is not a rebound. She repeated it in her head as if trying to convince herself.

Katie could sense Taylor's resistance wearing thin. She stood staring at the distressed girl in front of her.

"Come back to me baby." Taylor looked up to meet Katie's eye line. She stood frozen. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. A sly smile crept on to Katie's face. She had her.

Katie slowly leaned in closing her eyes. She closed the distance and attacked Taylor's lips. Taylor didn't know what was happening. As soon as she realised, she shoved Katie off of her.

"What the fuck?" She screamed. "Get away from me!"

"But..."

"No! If you don't get the fuck away from me right now, your legs won't ever work again!"

Katie looked hurt. She was certain that she had Taylor wrapped around her finger. She slowly turned away shaking her head.

"April is just a detour and you know it. I'm not letting you go without a fight but some how I don't think it will be that difficult to get you away from someone who is just a distraction from the main event." She shouted back as she walked away and out of the park.

Taylor sighed heavily and lent back against a tree. She hadn't expected her day to be so stressful. Katie had tried to kiss her. Was April just a detour? No. And Andy found out about her relationship with April and it wasn't even lunch time yet. Thinking of April, she had to go and find her girlfriend before she got worried.

She walked back over to the map where April and Andy stood awkwardly.

She walked over to April. All of Taylor's energy was drained after that conversation.

"Are you ok? What did she do?" April came running over concerned. She wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling her into a tight hug. Taylor reciprocated and circled April's neck with her arms, burning her face into April's hair. They stood silently, enjoying each other's warmth.

Katie had shaken Taylor. April could sense it from Taylor's rapid heart beat against her own. Even with her constant attempts to win Taylor back, April didn't feel threatened by Katie.

"I've got you." She whispered into her girlfriend's ear. She felt her relax into the hug and began rubbing her back in a calming manner.

They had forgotten Andy was there until coughed loudly to get their attention.

"Your secret is safe with me." He said with the must genuine smile on his face.

"Thank you Andy." April smiled back. Taylor remained silent in her bosses arms.

"I'll go and finish the park safety stuff. You two can go." He grabbed the kit, gave one last smile and walked away into the park.

The two girls stood wrapped in each other's arms, enjoying the comfort they felt when together. April slowly pressed her lips onto Taylor's forehead. She didn't know what Katie had said but what ever it was must have been bad to have effected Taylor this much.

"Do you wanna go back to mine?" April whispered against Taylor's skin. She felt Taylor nod. Slowly, she pulled out of the hug and intertwined her hand with Taylor's. Taylor gave a sad smile and began walking back to April's car.

They pulled into April's drive. The journey had been quiet. April had tried to start conversations but Taylor gave short, conversation ending answers.

They climbed out of the car and walked towards the door. As soon as April had walked inside, Taylor pushed her against the wall and pressed her lips against April's. She grabbed onto her waist and pulled their bodies closer together.

"Tay, are you..." April attempted to get out but Taylor bit her lip. She moved up her cheek, leaving a trail of passionate kisses, till she got to her girlfriend's ear.

"Shut up and fuck me." She moaned then bit down onto her earlobe. April groaned but knew that Taylor was upset.

"You're upset.... Can you... please... tell me what..." Taylor suddenly put her hands up April's shirt and pinched her hardened nipple. Causing a deep moan from April, shutting her up.

"You don't listen, do you?" Taylor gave a sly grin and began playing with April's waistband. "I'm gonna have to punish you for that." She gave a harsh squeeze of April's arse earning yet another moan.

As much as she wanted to, April knew she couldn't have sex with her girlfriend without talking about her ex first. She had to put her foot down.

"No." She said as she pushed Taylor off of her. "We need to talk about what just happened. She clearly upset you. Please just talk to me babe." She said stroking Taylor's shoulders. "Please."

"Fine."
