DING DONG
"Shit" my contact just fell in the sink.
DING DONG
"Just open the door, I know it's you Reginald!" I shouted.
Gosh darned child made me drop my contact down the sink now I have to find my glasses 'till I get a new set.
"Hey that's no way to greet you bestest friend in the whole wide world who's name is Reggie not that other vomit of words" Reggie said walking the door of my apartment, "And you should really lock your doors for all you knew I could be a murderer."
"That's true you could a rookie murderer that sits at the door, ringing the bell instead of, I don't know, breaking in. I would know the difference because somebody made me lose my contact down the sink." I replied sarcastically while not trying to be mean, I mean sure contacts cost a lot and everything but he's still my best friend.
"Oops sorry not sorry" He replied nonchalantly while walking to my kitchen.
"You're not the least bit concerned that you just made your poor friend practically blind when you know perfectly well you could buy me a new pair and it wouldn't cost a thing?"
"Oh so we're bring my wealth into this now are we?"
"I didn't want to but I did" I commented.
I may have been friends with him all my life but I still don't understand exactly why he always hangs out here at my place and buys and uses the more simplistic things in life when his parents own a multi billion dollar company. He even defies his parents not only in their money controlling way but also hates his "regal" name and likes to be called Reggie a much less regal name.
"Well now you can wear your glasses and suck it up." He told me.
"Hmpf. Fine." I mumbled, walking over to my room. I flipped on the light switch and fumbled around my room littered with books, video game cases and clothes. I believe I last saw my glasses in the top drawer of the nightstand. Making my way over to the nightstand I didnt see an old textbook and tripped causing a loud *Bang* to be heard.
"You ok in there?" Reggie called.
"Um yeah, I think so." I replied hearing footsteps approach my room.
"Anyways, you find them yet?" He asked.
"Hehe no. But I believe they are in my nightstand." I told him.
He walked over to the stand with ease and opened the top drawer.
"Found them," He held up my glasses then crouched in front of me and slid them on my face, "You know you look fabulous in these glasses dont even try to deny it because obviously my judgement rules supreme.".
"Well thanks but I don't agree with this whole your "Judgement rules supreme" deal" I said smirking while he helped me off my cluttered floor.
"Oh! I almost forgot dude guess what!?" I say, my eyes growing large with excitement.
"Hm. What?" He asked looking over at me as we exit the room.
"There's going to be a renaissance festival coming up, we should dress up and go!" I say excitedly. I don't know why but I've always loved participating in the past or in activities like a fairy tale, I mean just imagine going into your own fantasy world. Would I be queen or a poor girl begging on the streets? I don't know but the imagination is a creative and great place to stay.
"Sounds fun, sure." He said smiling.
"Yesss" I say bending over then doing a little fist pump, Reggie just laughs as a response.
"Welp we better get planning it's coming up in less than two weeks" I explain.
