Camila POV
Lauren and I are currently boarding our flight and heading off to Connecticut. As the plane starts taking off, I look over at Lauren who looks extremely pale.
"Are you okay?"
She moves her head back and forth in a quick motion. I knew she has never flown, but I never thought that she would be scared. Her hands are shaking like crazy.
I reach down to the one closes to me. I connect her fingers with mine. "It's going to be okay." I try to reassure her.
She remains silent. The plane takes off and we are no longer on the ground. I feel her grip tighten. I'll admit its adorable seeing her like this.
"Why don't we work on our project for writing?" I suggests. "Maybe it will help you concentrate on something other than being thousands of feet in the air."
This girl is still not responding. What can I do to get her to snap out of freaking herself out?
I lean over and plant my lips on her cheek. As I expected she turns her head. "What was that for?"
"To get your attention," I wink.
I grab out my notebook and pen. I undo the trey in front of me so I can have something to write on.
"So do you want to do this so we don't have to worry about it when we get there?"
She nods, "You don't have a song stored away so we can blow this off do you?"
Wasn't she the one that told me that is cheating? "No, but if I did, I wouldn't use it. This needs to be the both of us."
"You are killing my vibe." She pouts. It's nice to see she is loosening up. "We probably should decide exactly what we want to center this around. Like, are we talking about a friend or someone you are romantically attached too?"
She has a good point. "I think romantic would be more appealing to the audience."
She starts laughing, "Audience?"
"Yeah, didn't Mr. Sharp say we are presenting these at the conference?"
She lets up on her laugh. "You do realize how small our town is right? I doubt many people will be there. The parents in our town don't give a damn about our school."
That's a shame. "Oh well, I still like my idea, unless you hate it."
I grab my pen and write the word stay on top of it. Out of nowhere Lauren grabs the pen out of my hand and steals my notebook.
She starts writing. I try to peak, but she is using her arm to shield me. Halfway through our flight she finished and handed me the notebook back.
"There is my part. You can add on to it or write the beginning and that could be the end. Unless you don't like it."
I read through it. "Definitely don't hate it."
I start adding what she wrote. It is actually easier since she makes a layout. By the time the plane lands we have a rough draft of what our song will be. Now we need music.
"I'll email this to Jesse and see if he can come up with an arrangement."
Lauren gives me a thumbs up. We get off the plane and head towards baggage claim. As we approach it there was a crowd of screaming fans.
"Oh my god." I hear Lauren mumble.
We wait for our bags to unload and all I hear is, "Please take a picture with me. Please sign this."
