Chapter 54

Camila POV

Tonight is the night I always dreamed about but never thought I would get the opportunity to truly experience it. A year ago I performed at prom and remember being jealous of the guys with their dates. A part of being a normal high school student was to be able to experience a prom of my own.

Dinah and I get to the salon to first get our nails done. "So how did Lauren ask you? You never told me."

*Flashback*

I got back about at seven from a quick trip to California and back. Lauren said she couldn't pick me up so my mom is the one who is here at the airport. I get my bag into the car and we drive off. The whole car ride was quiet. This is how it's been since she told me she is engaged. It's a lot worse from the whole her trying to get Lauren to break up with me. Now we don't talk at all.

Once we get into town, she pulls up to the outside of the house, but doesn't go in. "What are you doing?"

"Well I have somewhere to go so can you get out?"

Seriously? I roll my eyes and get out of the car. I went to towards the trunk but she drove off before I could grab it. What the hell has gotten into her? She couldn't even let me grab my bag or maybe drop me off in the gate.

I walk up to the gate and put the passcode in. It opens up and that's when I freeze. "Oh my gosh!"

Music starts playing and Lauren appears from the side. The drive way was lit up by white Christmas lights and there was a chalk drawing on the ground. I walk in more so I can get a better look and read what the words were.

'Cause lovers dance when they're feeling in love... Will you go to prom with me?

Under the words was a drawing of two girls dancing along with a bouquet of flowers.

I turn to Lauren who is now right beside me. "Will you go to prom with me?"

I jump into Lauren's arm. "Yes!!!" I crash my lips on hers making the kiss sloppy since I'm so excited.

**Flashback Over **

"How freaking charming." Dinah says. "Let me guess you two went to get it on afterwards since your mother bear left."

My eyes go wide as the lady doing my nails give me a look, but it's not like I know her. "If you must know, I might got a little something, but Lauren didn't."

"What the hell Mila. You can't be all selfish."

I roll my eyes. "Well Lauren was on her period so I don't think that was me being selfish. That was Mother Nature being a bitch to her, but nice to me."

"How is Mother Nature treating you tonight? You know what happens after prom right?"

Dinah and I get up as we go to the drying wrack. "Well Mother Nature is treating me right once again and Lauren. I already asked." I wink at her. "But last year I went with Lauren to a party after Prom so if that is what you are referring too then yeah I know what happens after prom."

Dinah looks at me confused for a second. "Oh right when you were Kacey. I can't believe y'all played the school like that. You sneaky lesbians."

Dinah is ridiculous. "We weren't even dating then."

"Right, doesn't mean you didn't want Lauren's ass."

Lauren POV

Normani and I get ready together as Camila is with Dinah. "Are you getting nervous for school ending soon?" Normani ask.
