009: CHIAN'S POV

We are on our way to convenience store near the 15 mins walk dorm from uni. Actually, sa likod lang non yung dorm namin ni Paul kaya no sweat papunta.

"Swerte Chi kasi sina Shiila nakakuha ng phone mo, kung iba yon, you need to buy a new phone tomorrow" Paul said

Maybe swerte nga ako kasi within circle of friends ni Paul yung nakakuha ng mobile phone ko

"Caren.." I said "wait, siya yung pinahiram ni Melody ng shirt diba?" I asked

"Yes and siya rin naginvite sa atin nung CLTS night market na hindi mo pinuntahan"

"I see"

"Caren is very nice pero mas nice si Shiila"

"Oo na, ilang araw mo ng bukangbibig yang si Shiila"

"Eh, syempre. Feeling ko na-love at first sight ako"

I laughed "ikaw? Talaga?"

"Wala kang bilib sa akin e" he replied and we both laughed "you need to meet her, baka makalimutan mo si Steph kapag nameet mo Shiila"

"Dami mong alam, let's hurry up since it's getting late na"

Paul texted Shiila first nung nakarating na kami sa convenience store and Shiila replied with 'give us 5 minutes'

"I'll order, what do you want?" I asked Paul

"Saglit lang tayo dito bro" he said and chuckled

"I know but I want hot choco, ikaw ba?"

"Sige order kana, I'm quite full" he said

"Quite full pinagsasabi mo? Naeexcite ka lang makita si Shiila"

"Umorder kana nga" he said while texting

Buhusan ko kaya ito ng hot choco? Kapag babae hindi makausap ng matino e

I was looking at some chips while drinking my hot choco nung narinig ko yung door chime ng convenience store

"Hey, Paul" a voice of a girl said

"Hey!" Paul replied "Chian they're here"

"Chian?" the girl asked again then I walked pabalik sa table and I first saw a girl na nakabraid yung hair and I think it's Shiila "Chian?" she asked again but this time looking at me "wait.. Are you the Chian that I know?"

"Maybe?" I replied and sat beside Paul "anyway, can I get my phone?" I asked

"Wait, na kay Caren...." She said and nervously stood tapos tumingin sa labas "bumili lang siya ng crepe sa labas"

There's a crepe kiosk beside the convenience store

"Oh okay" Paul replied

"Chian, do you happen to know Caren?" Shiila asked and she's like hindi mapakali,  she looks kinda excited and nervous, okay lang ba siya?

"Yes, I can say, kinekwento siya sa akin ni Melody and nito ni Paul"

"Shiila, you're acting like a weird person what is happening?" Paul asked

"Are you okay?" I asked Shiila kasi I'm quite getting nervous about her little actions na

"I mean.." Shiila said and looked at me "Caren Stephanie?"

"Stephanie? Steph?" I asked "Wait.. You mean?"

"She's here" Shiila said looking at me and medyo kinakabahan siya then nagbukas na yung door ng convenience store and right there, wearing PJ's and college hoodie, walking towards me. Si Steph, the girl I'm looking and longing for the past weeks

"Sorry, I bought crepes pa e" she said and looked at Shiila then she slowly looked at me. I can see from my view that Shiila gave signs kay Caren to look at my side, nung nakita niya ako nanlaki yung mata niya "OMG Chian?"

"W-what is happening?" Paul asked

I laughed and stood

"OMG OMG" she said looking at me and covering her mouth with her hands while holding the paper bag of crepes

"I miss you" I said and I hugged her immediately nung nakalapit ako sa kanya

"OMG" she keeps on saying this word and I cannot help but laughed because I am feeling the same way

Unbelievable and God, thank you so much

I let go and looked at her and medyo teary eyes siya "Steph, hindi ito airport and hindi ako galing abroad"

"Tch~" she said and gently punched my chest

"Excuse me?" I heard Paul and when we looked, shocked face nila ni Shiila

I looked at Steph and we both laughed

"So, ikaw yung Steph na laging kinekwento ni Chian sa akin?" Paul asked and Steph nodded

"And siya yung Chian na kinwento ni Caren na hindi niya nakuha yung mobile number"

"Shut up Shiila" Steph said and napatawa kaming apat

"Hindi ko rin naman nakuha number niya e" I said and looked at Steph

"True, you gave me poetry book and left a handwritten message pero wala don yung mobile number mo"

"I totally forgot, really"

"Y-you did what Chian? You gave her handwritten letter?" Paul asked me and I nodded "this is a brand new information" he added and laughed out loud

God

I cannot believe this is happening, I just can't help but to look at Steph talking and smiling beside me. I don't know if it's a dream but I hope it's the reality

She seems a complete different person but her warmth is still the same and I cannot stress this enough, I miss her so much

"Baka naman matunaw na yung friend ko sa kakatingin mo?" Shiila asked me and napatawa na lang ulit kaming apat

Destiny is really doing something for both of us
