003: CHIAN'S POV

"I like someone else" I said and I saw her expression changed from happy to I hate that you said that

"Really?" she laughed "Christian, are you testing my feelings this early?"

"No, it's the truth. I like someone else" I said it again and biglang naging seryoso na yung face niya

She sighed

"The girl from the vacation?" she asked

I looked at her straight in the eyes "Yes. The girl from the vacation"

"I see" she replied and sighed. She looked up, stopping herself from crying.

"I'm sorry" I said "I really want to tell you this in person too, that I like someone else"

"You need to tell me talaga na paulit ulit? Gets ko na, you like someone else. So, ano naman?"

"Melody, please" I looked at her. I wanted her to stop, walang mangyayari sa ginagawa niya

"Can I ask you a question?" She asked

"Go ahead"

"Does she like you?"

"Yes" I replied

It's the truth, Steph said that she likes me diba? As far as I can remember, we like each other, we even kissed right?

"Kayo na ba?" she asked again

"No" I said "I mean, hindi pa"

"So, still, I have a chance right?"

"Melody, please..."

"Look, I am not here to tell you to stop liking her or kung ano man meron sa inyong dalawa. Since you said na hindi pa kayo, I guess I still have a chance"

"Mel, you know the ending of this already and I am saying this to you, I don't want to hurt you"

"You don't want to hurt me?" she chuckled "but you already did, so ano pang kinakatakot mo dyan? Just give me a fucking chance and I'll let you choose me instead of her" she said then bigla siyang tumayo at nagwalk out

I've been friends with Melody and Paul since the first day of college and no doubt, the moment that I saw her, I fell in love but not everything about it is pretty and nice. We have shared a lot of down moments as friends and even told each other the status of our families. From that moment on, I realized that I want to know her more.

Maybe nasanay na siya na I am always there for her and ako naman, hindi ko siya maiwan. So, I made it exclusive, I asked if I can court her and she said yes naman. From friends, sumugal kami sa road papunta sa lovers but things are not smooth as it is

I think we are better off as friends. Madalas kami magaway, mas marami pa ang away kesa sa memories na nacreate namin to know each other more. Maybe ayaw na rin niya kaya nasabi niya that she can't see me sa future niya

And knowing me, I can always give respect

"Oh, where's Mel?" I looked and it's Paul "ano naman yung tweet mo?" he laughed

I chuckled "loko loko ka!"

"Asan si Melody? May pa-sad face sa tweet mo"

"Nagwalk out na naman" I replied

"Grabe. Chi, I told her to stop pero hindi siya nakikinig" he said while sitting across me

"Let her handle this. Matalino naman siya and she knows when to stop"

"Hindi mo na ba siya gusto?" he asked "I mean, diba? What happened to genuine love?"

"I still care for her because she's my friend but the love you are talking about? Kinuha na ng iba" I said and smiled

"Speaking of which, the girl sa ig post mo.."

"What about her?" I asked

"Anong name niya? God, Melody is so curious about her"

I chuckled "everyone's curious about her"

"Eh ano, magkikita ba kayo mamaya? Let me meet her"

I sighed "sure, I'll let you meet her kapag nagkita na ulit kami"

Paul chuckled "when exactly?" he asked

"Hindi ko pa alam e. I will just let you know"

"Weird but okay" he said

Fudge Paul, you don't have any idea about our situation at ang katangahan kong hindi ko man lang hiningi mobile number niya

I sighed deeply

"Oh? Suddenly?" he asked and I can see that nagulat siya sa ginawa ko "problema mo?" he chuckled

"Naah, minsan iniisip ko, hindi talaga gumagana utak ko"

"Minsan lang talaga?"

"Lakas mo!" I exclaimed and we both chuckled "Iwan na muna kita, gutom na ako" I added

"Sige, Chi, take it easy" he replied and I just nodded as a response
