0017 : CHIAN'S POV

I took a shower and wear my PJ's. Di talaga ako nagpapajama pero sobrang lamig dito kina Paul. Walang bahid ng stress and yung hangin, iba, sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam. I'm glad na nakasama si Steph dito.

I looked at Paul and he's laying in bed, staring at the ceiling

"Anong meron sa taas?" I asked

"I'm trying to figure out how to confess"

I chuckled "confess? Kay Shiila?"

"Bro, paano ba? I mean, this would be my first time confessing, usually yung mga girls nagcoconfess sa akin e"

Lakas makagwapo no?

Pilayan ko na ba to?

"Wala ka talagang idea? Gusto mo sipain kita?"

He sighed "I planned on confessing later sa hiking, you think it will be okay?"

"Wag mong sabihing naghanda ka pa sa gitna ng bundok ng event? Don't tell me may mga candles pa saka table?"

"Sa tingin mo magkakatime pa ako gawin yon?"

"Kung may time, gagawin mo?"

"Tutulungan mo ba ako?" he asked

"Minsan gusto kong magmura ng malutong sa harap mo" I replied and he laughed so hard tapos binato niya ako ng unan

"Wala ka namang matutulong e" he said "pero, I'm curious, paano ka nagconfess kay Caren Steph?"

"Hindi ko rin alam e" I laughed and I can see na lalo siyang nafrustrate "if you'll feel later sa hiking na sumasabog na yung nararamdaman mo then shout it out. I can see that Shiila likes you a lot.  You are lucky kasi she can make the first move, it's time for you to take action. Confess like a man bro"

"Minsan gumagana rin utak mo no?"

"Salamat. Salamat ng marami"

"I feel so motivated, makakatulog na ako" he said then nagkumot na siya

"Ganon ganon na lang talaga diba?"

He chuckled lang tapos maya maya tulog na.

I decided to get some water when I noticed na may tao sa balcony. Past 1 AM na ah? Who could it be?

I walked towards the balcony and I saw Steph

"Hey" I called and she looked at me, gulat na gulat "what the hell are you doing here? It's cold" I said walking towards her tapos binigay ko yung jacket ko

"It's not really cold, I'm drinking hot tea" she said and grinned

"Tch. Kahit na" I said and inayos ko yung jacket ko sa kanya

"Eh how about you, why you still up?"

"I was just going to get water tapos I saw you. Priority, ikaw muna bago tubig"

"Loko loko" she said and chuckled a bit

"Wala kang balak matulog?" I teased her

"Meron naman" she said looking at me

God, she's so pretty under this dim light and the stars. Kahit anong gawin niya she's still pretty just like the first time na nakita ko siya and the bralettes

I chuckled a bit and nagulat siya

"Suddenly?"

"Sorry, may naalala lang"

"Ano na naman yon Christian?"

"Yung first time nating nagkita, yung bralettes" I laughed so hard

"And yung boxers mo na kulang na lang suot mo sa ulo ko?" she said

May comeback agad siya diba?

"Sabi ko nga shut up na lang ako" I said, kasi, isa yon sa mga regrets ko in life. Forever nakakahiya guys

She laughed

I fucking miss that

"Melody is so sweet pala" she suddenly said

"Hmm?"

She looked at me "I can see how she really cares for you and Paul"

I chuckled "sanayan na lang rin siguro. Everytime na nandito kami, lagi wala parents ni Paul e. Uhm, wait, may twice pala na nakasama namin sila. Melody is like that, she really cares, sobra. Siguro dahil ayaw niya maramdaman ng mga tao sa paligid niya yung feeling na hindi ka importante"

"What do you mean?"

"Lagi kasing naiiwan yan magisa sa bahay nila kasi busy parents sa mga business trip, yung ate naman niya nasa US na, kaya siguro ganyan lang rin pagaalaga niya sa mga friends niya"

"You admire here for that no?"

"Well, honestly, yes" I said and Caren is looking at me straight in the eyes. I just cannot hide anything from her. I want her to know more about me that's why I decided to open these things. I want to share everything with her from now on "why?" I asked because nakatingin lang talaga siya sa akin and medyo uneasy ako sa ginagawa niya

"Do you still like her?" she asked

Just what the fuck?

"Suddenly? What kind of question is that? Of course, I like her because she's my friend"

"How about romantically?" she asked

"Romantically? No" I replied "why are you still asking this kind of question? You already know the answer Steph. You know who I like right now"

"Because" she said and looked away from me "I'm still kinda doubting you. I mean, I don't know?" she looked at me again "I know what you feel towards me pero ...."

"Wait, are you dumping me? Again?" I asked her

"No" she gently replied "I am trying to explain, please listen" she added

"Go on" I said

"I know what you feel about me but somehow, nararamdaman ko, that you still have feelings towards Melody. Not only nararamdaman, but I can also see it"

"You think I still have feelings for Melody romantically because I care about her? Do you want me to stop talking to her?"

"No, not that. Please, don't do that"

"Look, if you don't like me, just say it. Hindi ko alam kung ano pinagusapan niyo ni Melody and right at this moment, hindi ko na rin alam kung yung mga sinabi mo sa akin during our vacation is totoo, honestly, yun lang mga pinanghahawakan ko saka yung I miss you mo"

"I'm feeling the same way too" she said "maybe you just said those words para lang pagtakpan yang feelings mo kay Melody" she said gently but sounds so tired "sino ba naman mafafall agad sa ibang tao especially kung nagmomove on pa siya sa previous love niya"

"God, Caren, what are you saying"

"If you're just using me para lang makaganti kay Melody, please, let's stop this already" she said looking at me "I'll go ahead. I'm sleepy" she added then tinanggal niya yung jacket ko then binigya sa akin.  

She walked away from me

Sa sobrang frustration ko, hindi ko na siya nagawang pigilan

Bakit niya naiisip yung bagay na yon? Wala ba akong karapatan to like her more than I like Melody before?

Never in my whole life naisip ko na gumamit ng ibang tao just for the sake of my feelings

"Steph ano ba" I muttered to myself and kinda punched yung Veranda nina Paul
