I looked back several times pero hindi ko makita sina Chian and Melody

Should I stop and ask Paul?

"Paul, bakit wala sina Chian at Melody?" Shiila asked

"Don't worry, hindi na yun maliligaw dito. Let's go, there's so much more to see" Paul replied and we started walking again

"Walk slowly" Shiila whispered and looked at me "I know you wanted to ask that kaya ako na nagtanong kay Paul"

"Thank you, gumana brain cells mo today"

She chuckled then she looked back "oh, the Melody is here" she said

I looked back and I saw her nga, she just looked at us tapos sumunod na ng mabilis kay Paul

Me and Shiila just looked at each other then walked again. No words, I mean, wala kaming nasabi sa kanya. Alam niyo yung damage control? Yun yung ginawa namin

After several seconds, bigla na lang kasabay na namin maglakad si Chian

"Saan ka galing?" Shiila asked, I can see na medyo nagulat siya kasi biglang lumitaw sa tabi niya si Chian

"Steph, can we talk?" Chian asked looking at me

Hindi niya pinansin question ni Shiila

"Maguusap talaga kayo na ako nasa gitna?" Shiila asked

We both chuckled

Me and Chian both chuckled

"Sorry" Chian replied to Shiila "I mean, mamaya sana. I hope me and Steph can talk"

"Of course, bakit naman hindi?" Shiila replied "pero, yun nga, pwede mamaya na?"

"Ah, oo naman, maybe it can wait"

"Kahit na hindi, willing ka dapat maghintay" Shiila said and she immediately pulled me away from Chian

I looked at Chian and sumenyas siya na maguusap kami mamaya and I just nodded

So, hindi ba siya galit sa mga pinagsasabi ko kaninang madaling araw?

Ano kayang paguusapan namin?

"It can really wait" Shiila whispered "let him wait for you, makasabay siya magbreakfast kay Melody parang hindi ka niya kasama eh"

"Bakit parang mas bitter ka pa sa akin sa nangyari?" I asked and chuckled

"Nakakainis e. Sinama sama ka dito tapos sasaktan ka lang"

"Chill, breakfast lang naman yon e"

"Kahit na, imagine it's the most important part of your day tapos hindi ka niya kasabay?"

"Sheesh~ you're acting like a jealous, bitter girlfriend right there" I said and she rolled her eyes

"Wag ka maging masyadong mabait, nakakainis minsan"

"Hindi ako nagiging mabait, umaayon lang ako sa dapat kong katayuan. We're not a couple naman eh"

Shiila just scratched her head "ewan ko sayo bahala ka dyan" she said and walked away from me

I have a point naman diba? I mean, yes, I felt jealous but at the end of the day, wala naman kami talaga ni Chian. We do have feelings for each other as far as I can remember pero hindi yun sapat para magalit ako dahil nagbreakfast siya with Melody.

Petty ako pero hindi naman ka-level ni Shiila

Around 5PM, nakababa na kami and waiting na lang for Melody to come down

Si Melody, na laging kasama nina Paul and Chian, pa-especial today, we've been waiting for almost 15 minutes and wala pa rin siya

"Ibang way ba dinaanan niya?" Chian asked

"Hindi ko alam e, sabi niya, mauuna na daw siya kanina nung nagpapahinga tayo sa gitna, baka naman nandito na?"

Chian asked the person na naghintay sa amin pero he said na wala pa namang ibang hikers na bumaba aside from us

"Where in the world is she?" Chian asked and super worried

"Let's just wait, alam naman ni Melody ang way eh, we should trust her"

"What if may nangyari? Like nainjured siya along the way?" Chian asked

Paul just sighed and looked at us, we are worried too "kayong dalawa, stay here okay? We'll gonna look for Melody"

"O-Okay" Shiila said "please comeback safe"

Paul just nodded

Chian looked at me and I just looked at him too, walang siyang sinabi. All I know is he's super worried kay Melody. Like, this is the first time na nakita ko siyang ganun.

I mean, this is literally the first time na makakita ako ng ibang expression from his face

And it's just sad and amusing at the same time. Like I'm really getting to know him more and yes, I'm a bit jealous too

Magseselos na lang ba ako ng walang katapusan?

They are walking away from me when Chian stopped

"Oh?" Paul said

Then Chian turned around and now walking towards me

"Stay here okay? I don't want you to get lost too, please, wait for me"he said the moment na kaharap na niya ako

"I will" I said "please comeback safe"

"I will" he replied and poked my nose

We both smiled

The answer to my question is, hindi dapat ako magselos

"Oo na we will wait from here kaya go na kayo, kasi it's getting late na oh" Shiila

Chian just chuckled and lumakad na pabalik kay Paul

"Hindi ka rin naman matiis no? Maybe he's in love ng sobra" Shiila teased

"I hope they'll find Melody as soon as possible"

"Sabi ko nga" Shiila replied and I chuckled

"Sorry, I'm happy he did that pero I'm worried too because of Melody"

"Ako rin naman eh, parang naglagay lang ako ng breather sa sinabi ko na yon, Chill, they will find her, we should trust them" Shiila replied and I nodded

I trust Chian

They will comeback safe

He will comeback safe
