Good morning my beautiful Freshman Class of 2014” An overly excited male voice began over the class speaker, the class was extremely large  with about 80 students, and I sat in the last row. “First off Congratulations on deciding to further your education, And thank you for choosing Kaymen we are happy to have you. Welcome to Forensics.”

The Professor, whose name I learned was Towers,  continued for about 10 minutes on his instruction style, course description and various other things before beginning to actually teach. After about another ten minutes he gave us a test, just to let him know where the class stood.

The school was highly competent and overly flashy, we all had to have our own laptop and IPad specifically from the school for work. The test he gave us required a code of the day, we had to have that code in order to take the test and the test was not valid unless entered within the time period that he opened it from his own computer. He made the rules very clear.  Your results were sent back immediately.  92% was my very first college grade and I was very proud of myself.

“Alrighty, five more students until we’re done and then I have one more thing to add before I go in to further instruction.”  Already I am tired of college, it’s not much different, bigger classes and electronic notebooks, I kept my head down and scrolled through old pictures in my phone.

“Class this is Professor Williams,  he is not yet a licensed College professor he will need to shadow our class for this first semester, then you will spend the rest of your time in his hands.”

I kept my head down, still uninterested, who was instructing us meant very little to me on the first day so long as they were clear during their instruction.

“Hello class.” The speaker screamed as he spoke into it and cause me to jump, “Sorry, I.. uhm…how do i…” He mumbled quietly  just barely audible as he talked more to Professor towers than to us. Finally I look up and my heart stops, he tends to have this effect on me but this time it was different.

“Sorry class let’s try this again.” The class laughed and he flashed them his gorgeous smile.  He began to introduce himself and I hid in the back in horror, knowing he hadn’t noticed me, and that he probably wouldn’t. The rest of the class went by slow compared to the earlier classes today.  I paid little to no attention to what was being said and stared absentmindedly at Richard. Whenever his eyes wondered in my direction I lowered my head. I felt guilty, hurt and I didn’t know why, I wasn’t wrong when I kissed him and we never talked about work.

Towers dismissed the class and rushed to the middle of the chaos still trying to hide, I wasn’t sure why but I don’t want him to see me. But I do want to tell him I go to Kaymen.”
