Chapter 15

Adrian Ray, to most people would fall under one of the following four categories; a loner, the rebel, a troublemaker, or broken. Constantly bullied by her ex best friend and trying to figure out where she belongs. What happens when Adrian meets the most popular girl?

We grab the bags we dropped when we got ambushed by the guards. We walk towards the gate, killing every patho and guard that got in our way. When we are almost at the gate, we hear the click of a gun. "What now" I say turning around. Standing there pointing a gun at me is none other then Rachel. In retrospect I should have seen this coming. "Of course" I say, "Go figure."

"Surprise" Rachel says. "Hello Rachel" I say, "What do you want?" "To make you pay" Rachel says, "Because of you New Havens is overrun by pathos." "Actually, that's your fault" I say. "Clarke" Shannon whispers. "If you had just let me leave when I tried" I say, "None of this would have happened." Rachel shoots the ground inches from my foot, "Next one goes into your head." "Was that supposed to be a threat" I ask, "You were already planning on shooting me so..."

"Shut up dude" Mason whispers. "I am so going to enjoy killing you" Rachel says and shoots Shannon. "Shannon" I yell. Rachel then shoots Mason. "Mason" I whisper. Rachel walks up to me and holds the gun to my head. "Bet you wished you took my deal now" Rachel says. "Eat shit and die" I say in anger. Rachel laughs and I glare at her. "And for the record I didn't want to do this" Rachel says, "But you forced my hand." Rachel lowers the gun to my stomach and fires.

I blink and look down in confusion when I don't feel any pain. I look up at Rachel who has a surprised expression on her. She falls to the ground dead I assume and standing behind her is Richard, gun in hand. "Richard" I say taken back. "That's my name" Richard says. "But you...you were...why" I ask. "I've been serving her for years, I know what kind of person she is" Richard says, "That bitch needed to be put in her place."

"So...are we good" I ask. "We're good" Richard says. I walk over to Mason and confirm he is dead. "I am so sorry Mason" I say and stab him in the head, so he doesn't turn. I walk over to Shannon and confirm that she is still breathing. "What the..." I say. Shannon's eyes open when she hears me. "Oh thank god you're ok" Shannon says hugging me. "But how" I ask. Shannon opens her shirt to reveal a bullet proof vest. "I figured it would come in handy" Shannon says.

I smile and shake my head. I connect our lips for a quick kiss. "Not to interrupt this sickening sweet moment" Richard says, "But we are about to be run over by pathos." "Let's go then" I say. We grab our things and leave New Havens. I grab a Molotov and hand it to Shannon, I then grab one for myself. "Go on" I say, "Grab one." Richard and his posse grab one. I take lighter out of my pocket and light each one.

"Light it up boys" I say as I throw mine. Shannon, Richard, and his posse proceed to throw theirs. We watch as New Havens starts to burn. "Good riddance" Richard says, "I hated that place." "What now for you" I ask Richard we continue to watch New Havens burn to the ground. "Not sure" Richard says, "You." "Me and Shannon are going to find a new place to live" I say.

"Its always good to travel in numbers" Richard says. "Is that so" I say. "Or so I've heard" Richard says. I look at Shannon and raise my eyebrow. She just shrugs. "You guys are more than welcome to join us. Richard turns to his posse. His posse either nods or shrugs. "I guess its decided then" I say. "We should probably head out and find somewhere to stay" a guy from Richard's posse says, "Its going to be dark soon." "Move out" Richard says

Richard and his posse begin to walk off and I grab Shannon's hand. She smiles at me and I smile back. She kisses my cheek and we follow Richard and his posse. Although the last chapter was full of manipulation, pain, and betrayal, I can't wait to see what this new chapter has in store for me.
