Sad fest

"Marcus" I said softly looking up at him as he glanced down at me our bodies one inches away from each other we were standing in-front of our apartment building 

"yeah Charlotte'' he said In a calm voice

 "you know what" 

"what" he said 

"I love you"

 He smiled and leaned his head in and kissed me softly but passionately and as he did this he grabbed my hand and brought me in closer to the point our bodies were pressed onto each other as he slowly ended the kiss he looked at me again resting his head on top of mine and sighed softly and embraced me

 "goodnight Charlotte'' and he detached from me and left me on the steps and walked away to his car leaving me on my own.It has been a few weeks since Marcus asked me to homecoming and since then we had almost been inseparable and that night was the first time I had said I Love you too him but he did not say It back I did not know how to feel about that I tried to just brush it off because he did give me affection in a form of a kiss so I took that as a I love you for now at least.

Luke was standing by the elevator when I walked into the building 

"spy much?" I asked him 

"yeah sure" he said in a stern tone ever since me and Marcus began to hang out as much as we did Luke seemed kinda dead like he was purposely being a jerk to me as the elevator opened and he walked in with me following him he placed him self at the back of the elevator and I stayed more towards the font where the doors where located as we hit his floor I could feel the pressure between us and as he was beside me walking out and away I took a grasp of his arm 

"Luke !'' I shouted as I brought myself out of the elevator and faced him I looked up at him and now more calmly I said "Luke why are you doing this?'' He looked back down at me 

"no reason'' he attempted to walk away but that only made my grip on his am tighter

 "you don't even see me much anymore" I added he fully turned around to me my grip on him gone

 "you don't need me anymore char"

even with his anger he would't use my full name

 "what the hell are you talking about Luke"

 '' you're doing great on you're own'' he retorted and sighed looking down at the ground 

''Luke..'' I mumbled I could feel my eyes begin to water as my body became heavy yet numb to the core 

''I'm sorry'' and he turned around and walked off to his apartment.

 I stared at the ground for what felt like hours before returning to the elevator and riding it up alone again witch I haven't done in so long because Luke was no longer this mysterious guy who would give me a smirk and go off on his way and leave me with butterflies in my stomach to the throat but I felt like that was starting to re appear witch made my heart sunk and as I walked into the apartment I was faced with Calum with the eye contact we exchanged only allowed for my heart to split and with that I just broke finally as I felt all the emotions pour out of me I watched as Calum stood from the couch where he was seated and hurry to my side as I began to sob

 " Charlotte?'' Calum asked me calmly facing me and looking down at me and placing a hand on my shoulder '' what's going on '' he asked and slowly attempted to guide me to the sofa to sit down and following that I wiped my tears away and looked up at my brother and began to attempt to speak 

''Luke'' I mumbled out and Calum looked at me conceringly

'' did he do something to you?'' He questioned me in a harsh tone and I shook my head ''then what?'' He asked this time not as harsh 

''i think he hates me now'' I manage to let out before going into another big sob fest he furrowed his eyebrows together confused 

''what do you mean he is mad at you?'' 

"we just fought'' I blurted out in slight anger and frustration 

''fought about what?'' I began to try to calm down again and stop the tears from flowing down my face leaving mascara marks all over my cheeks  my foundation becoming patchy 

''Luke said I don't need him anymore and I think it's because of Marcus'' 

''Marcus is why he fought with you?'' His tone was a little confused

 '' yeah because well you know me and him have been together now basically for a little while now'' Calum nodded then looked away from me and sighed ''what?'' I asked him getting a bit scared that everything was my fault

 '' just um'' Calum was trying to put his words together but he was struggling slightly to do so I watched him carefully to see what he would say next ''I think I'm going to talk to him ok?'' He said calmly and I nodded before standing up and heading to my room.

Calum's POV

I sighed and buried my face in my hand's "common Luke''I mumbled to my self before standing  up from the sofa  to head to the door in search for Luke I went out and began to head towards the elevator to drop to his floor my heart began to beat harder and harder while my body filled with anticipation unsure of how this was going to go down but all in my head was worries about Charlotte.

I knocked on the door and within a few minutes a groggy messy haired Luke opened up the door "what the hell'' is all that could come out of my mouth looking at him he has never appeared that way I watched Luke scan me

 ''Calum?'' He said confused and straighten up and tired to slightly fix his hair I sighed and look away for a moment before going back to talk to Luke 

"what happed'' I said sternly Luke stepped away from the door and closed it leaving us in the hallway to talk 

''nothing happed Charlotte is doing well'' he smiled leaning on the wall I looked closely at him 

''are you drunk Luke?'' I was ready to interrogate him Luke sighed and ran his hand through his hair 

''just leave me alone Calum'' 

'' no way in hell'' I blurted and grabbed a hold of his arm

 "what is going on man just tell me ok'' and I slowly let go of him 

'' I I just don't have a good feeling about Marcus'' he mumbled I nodded 

'' are you sure its that or are there other reasons involved" I tried to make direct eye contact with him unsure of what was really going on

 "I cant Calum'' he bang to stumble to open the door to his apartment 

'he-hey'' I grabbed ahold of his arm again for the second time 

''listen to me I won't be mad at whatever you say'' Luke turned the knob to the door and opened it pulling away from my grasp and walking inside

 ''I'm sorry Calum I'm so sorry'' and he closed the door and I could hear him hit the ground and hear silent sobs from the other side I was so unsure yet so sure at the same time at what was occurring. I bit my lip and shook my head and began to walk away towards the elevator leaving Luke to his own ideals and headspace he would not accept me in and that was his choice.
