Chapter Two

Kyungsoo's P.O.V

I'm minding my own business while walking down the hallways of the building when someone bumps into me. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" she says running past me. "What the hell was that?" I mutter. I have just come back from a class. Mind you I'm exhausted, and someone has the decency to run into people? Rude.

As soon as I get into my dorm I remove my shoes and lay down on my bed. I throw my hand behind my head and just lay there, thinking, staring at the ceiling.

A few minutes have passed since I have been in this position one of my roommates Kai speaks up. "Hey you haven't said anything since you came in, how was your morning?". "Leave me alone, I'm exhausted and someone ran into my chest. Can you get me some panadol?" I reply. "Yeah yeah whatever 'Mother' I'll be right back in a few" Kai jokes. I role my eyes, turn over to my bed side table and grab my phone and earphones.

I play Bruno Mars and Travie McCoy's Billionaire and close my eyes humming to the song.

Jihae's P.O.V

As I am walking to the college office, I see different people trying to promote their clubs. I decide to get two of each of the club's flyers for Chen and I, and make my way inside the office. "Hi can I please have the keys for dorm rooms D1 and B6?" I ask the office lady. She hands me the keys without saying a word and signals for me to leave. Okay then? That was rude.

I find Chen exactly where I left him and smile at myself. He looks like a lost puppy sittiing there and staring at the ceiling. "Chen! I have the keys." I shout. I hand him the key and he unlocks the room.

No one is inside and I hope it stays that way. I don't have the time to act as a mother to anyone else and I need my quiet place to study. Chen places the last of my suitcases into my room and makes his way out. "Hey Chen wait" I grab his arm. "Thanks for helping me today, I owe you. None of my friends decided to come to NYU with me so I don't really know anyone here. Thanks for being so helpful and nice, I appreciate it", I thank him. "Jihae, i'ts okay, really. I'm just glad I could help you" Chen replies.

Chen laughs and looks at his arm. At that moment I realise that I am still holding his arm so I pull away in embarrassment. Chen walks out and closes the door. I unpack and mark my calendar of when I have important things going on and assignment dates.

I lay down on my bed and plug my earphones into my phone and play When I was your man by Bruno Mars. I guess I was a fan of his. As I stare at the ceiling whilst listening to When I was your man, I start thinking of the mysterious man I bumped into today. His heart shaped lips, mesmirizing deep voice and his toned chest. I shake my head trying to rid of these images in my head and I am unsuccessful in doing so. I sit up and place my head in my hands and stare at my lap. What the hell am I thinking? I don't even know who this guy is.

To distract myself, I decide to meet other people by knocking on other people's dorms and introducing myself. I meet people with interesting personalities. Someone who stood out to me was a man named Luhan and his roommate Baekhyun. They were both warm and welcoming and have invited me to a frat party. Parties aren't really my style but I'm willing to give it a try so I accept. I introduce myself to a few other people and come across someone I felt I have met before.

"Hey I'm Jihae, I heard you humming to Billionaire and it's one of my favourite songs, so I decided to come by" I smile at him. "I'm Kyungsoo, someone ran into my chest and I want to rest, now can you leave?" He replies coldly. I feel blood rushing to my cheeks as I realise that I am the one who had hurt him. "I'm so sorry, I was in such a rush this morning!" I swiftly say. Without saying a word he signals for me to leave, so I do. This is the second time that's happened.

I wonder what's on his mind.

I have a massive headache and just want to sleep. I am still standing against the door of his dorm when it opens. Someone caught me swiftly before I had the chance to make contact with the ground. Before I can stand up, my head suddenly feels heavier and I feel my body giving up on me as I slump into someone's arms.
