Y/n's pov
Knock knock.
What.
Bang. Bang.
Eeeeeeuuuuuuggggghhhhhh
THUNK THUNK
Maybe if I ignore whoever's at my door long enough, they'll go away.
Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong.
WHY DOES THIS MIDNIGHT IMBECILE DECIDE THAT THEY NEED TO RING MY DOORBELL AND KNOCK ON THE DOOR. ITS LIKE A FULL FRONTAL ATTACK ON THE EXTERIOR OF MY PROPERTY.
Ding dong. Thunk thunk. Ding dong. Ding dong.
They're not leaving I assume. Lets go and get it over with then.
I fall down the stairs on the way and just manage to open the door, eyes practically shut. I mumble out 'what do you want?' The voice. I'm suddenly shocked awake, fully.

'Im sorry, I need help.' The voice is familiar. Leo stands by my door, arms crossed, trying to stay warm. I can't see his face. His voice sounds upset, is he ok, has he been crying?                                     'I'm sorry.' He says again. 'I didn't want to bother you. I can go...' He trails off. I feel bad suddenly so I pull him inside. It is only then that I see why he's at my door. His face. His face is covered in cuts. And bruises. And blood. I gasp and step back, he can see that and averts his eyes. I step forwards and hug him, he hugs back. I am immediately reminded of yesterd- wait, is it yesterday? Or is it today? Is it past midnight...?

He brings me back to my thoughts by apologizing again. So instead of watching him suffer in the hall, I walk him to my kitchen and  take some ice out the freezer. As I'm a sport person and get injured a lot, I make sure to always have ice packs somewhere.

After I've cleaned the blood, cleaned the cuts and iced the bruises, I decide to figure out what happened.

'Who. Why. Where. ANSWERS BOI!!!!' I say/shout at Leo.

'Ummmmmm. I kinda was walking home and a dude he... there was a guy and... a dude beat me up saying that you were his and that I could never replace him. He told me that one day he would have you again, that you belong to him.' Leo sounds confused but I know immediately. Reuben. Oh lord, if he has gone after Leo already like this, what could happen when we actually announce we're dating? I'd better explain. But first lets clarify.

'First, did he have loads of red on?' I ask Leo, hoping to figure out whether or not it was the jealous, childish man I think it was.

'Yeah. It was a really weird red jacket, like some sheet of plastic moulded onto his body, and red shoes. Like Nike Air Max Tuned. Bright red. Not very inconspicuous.' Leo sounded confused. I'm not.

'Ok. Ummmmmmm. Uhhhhhhhhhh. There's a few things I guess I gotta tell you. Before you, like five months before, I dated a guy. Reuben. He was a friend of a friend. And we hit it off. But after four or so weeks, he... changed. He made me quit my job. He wouldn't let me see my friends, cut me off from my family. I was completely dependant on him. I had nothing else. No money, no friends, no one to turn to. So by the time I realised, it was too late and the only thing I could do was leave him. Now, my friends are still getting used to me and my parents were glad to have me back. But i'm still learning to trust myself. Anyway, he still thinks he have possession over me and wants me back. Not gonna happen.' I basically spill my whole problem while Leo listens. And he is a good listener.
