Todoroki POV
I ran to the place that calms me the most, the beach.
I slid to the ground for no apparent reason and just sat there staring at the moonlight reflecting off the water. It really did look beautiful. I only come here when my old man Enji, my father and king, make me really angry. I don't know why but this place makes me feel calm. Maybe it's cause of the the pretty night sky? The calming sounds of the waves? Whatever it is it still makes me calm. But this time it wasn't exactly working, I was extra mad.
*Flashback*
"You will marry the young princess Momo!
It will make me even more powerful! Can't you see that Todoroki?!" The old man yelled at me again. I was used to this.
"You can't force me to do anything! Especially marriage for your own benefit!" I yelled back. "You will marry her if you like it or not! You're not the one in charge here. You don't want to become weak like your mother do you?" The fact he dare mention my mother made my blood boil. "You don't have the right to speak of her like that!" I then ran out.
*Flashback Over*
I sighed. I am in heck of a lot of trouble the second I get back. Some 'king' my father is huh?
I then see some weird splash in the water. My focus then went to whatever that was. I saw the splash again but not just that, I saw some type of fish tail thing? It looked weird but pretty at the same time.
I then remembered some weird legend my mother once told me. A tale about mermaids and merman.
I shook that thought away since I knew that they would never exist. After a while I saw the creature sit on top of a rock. It seemed to look like a 'he'. He looked so beautiful, the shades of green on him was just magnificent. The fish tail on him seemed weird however? Wait- was this guy a merman? No it couldn't be, this guy had to be in a costume or something.
I didn't care so I went into the water to get closer to him. I would say I was a couple feet away when me and him locked eyes..
