I would say I was a couple feet away when me and him locked eyes..

Todoroki POV
The creature and I locked eyes and his eyes shined like emeralds. The second he saw me I could honestly see the panic in his eyes. I saw him put his tail under the water hoping that I didn't see it. But I did.

Then, the creature spoke, "H-hi?" Oh god his voice sounds so cute and innocent. "Hi" I simply responded. "W-Who are you?" He seemed nervous, or scared of me.

I tried to speak in the most calm voice I had, "My name is Todoroki Shoto, I'm prince of *insert kingdom name here*, what's your name?" I then finally saw some panic disappear from his eyes. He seemed to be calming down. "I-I'm Midoriya Izuku." He had such a cute name.

"Are you a human Todoroki..?" I was kinda surprised by his question and I knew if I told the truth he might flee. But before I had time to think about it I said, "Ah, yes I'm human. Why?" Great move Todoroki. I mentally slapped myself.

I saw the panic in his eyes return. "Have you ever heard of that legend? Of mermaids and merman?.." he quietly spoke. Again without my brain thinking, I said, "Yeah, I don't think they exist though, it just seems impossible."

The boy looked down in shame or something. I knew I messed up since he pushed himself off the rock into the water again. "Hey wait-!" I went underwater to try to keep sight of him. I was right. He had a fish tail, he had to be a- merman. That legend was true.

For no reason my body moved on it's own and I started to swim after him. Of course he was much faster but I still had my eye on him. At this point I don't know how I was able to hold my breath for this long but I still felt perfectly fine. Maybe cause of the adrenaline rush I don't know.

I saw him swim into a small cave and so I followed and stayed to the side just to see him without him seeing me. Seeing myself right now I'm going to start drowning and I won't realize it.

Midoriya POV
My mother and Kacchan have told me many things about humans. I think everything they said is true. So when I locked eyes with this 'Todoroki' I internally panicked because he had what looked what human legs.

I tried to stay calm and hide my tail so maybe the human would think I was a human as well and not hurt me. But... his voice.. was so calm and soothing.. and his eyes.. they looked calm as well and the moonlight reflecting off them.. it made them look so pretty- Izuku! You can't fall for a human you know this!

I grabbed some jewels my mother used to have. I miss her a lot, this is the only thing I have left of her. This is why I believe humans are our enemies. They just want to kill or capture us for money. They are all ruthless idiots. They just had to capture me and my mom and I was forced to watch her get harpooned.

I was lucky to escape but I shouldn't have. I should have stayed with my mom. I start crying and hold the jewels up to my chest.

*FLASHBACK*

"Mommy... what's happening..?" I said to my mother holding onto her tight. "I'm sorry dear Izuku.. is the one who dragged you into this.. remember what I said.. never forget my words or my presence okay sweetie..?" My mother whispered to me.

I looked up and saw a scary man. His eyes were cold and ruthless. He then yelled out, "Kill the woman! Don't let the child escape okay you idiots!" I gasped and started crying.

My mother put an amulet on me and let go of me. I looked to the side and saw a white haired woman looking terrified at the man that stood in front of us.

I also saw a small boy behind the woman. Then I glared behind me, the ocean wasn't far. My mother noticed so once the net was taken off my mother used the last of her strength to throw me back into the ocean.

I landed in the water and before I went underwater, everything went into slow motion.

She looked at me one more time and closed her eyes, at the moment I saw a harpoon go right through her. I splashed into the water and yelled at the top of my lungs, "MOMMA..!"

*FLASHBACK OVER*

I then hear something behind me so I drop the jewels and quickly turned around. I saw him again.

I swam back into the wall of the cave and the boy looked at me terrified that he was caught. He is really after me.. he wants to kill me too.. for stupid money..

I then remembered something about my amulet. But that didn't matter at the moment. I prepared myself and dashed out of the cave and past him and I went to where I know any human would die if they got near. Kacchan.

Phew another chapter done. Let's just say that Kacchan and Deku are like friends but are also enemies, you get what I mean? Anyway Mini-Chan out.
