Elena, Stefan, Rebekah and Rosie are on the beach in order for them to receive the required phone service. Elena is on the phone with Caroline, who is at the Gilbert house with Minerva and Klaus, who remains trapped.

"Tell me you're not serious." The Forbes girl replied in pure disbelief and anxiety of the brand new information she has just heard from her best friend; Shane has run away with the tombstone, Jeremy, Damon and Bonnie are missing somewhere in the large woods of the desolate island.

"I wish I weren't. When we got back from looking for Jeremy, Shane and Bonnie were gone too. Shane needs Bonnie to cast a spell on Jeremy's tattoo in order to find the cure, and he managed to sneak them both out from under our noses. Rosie was right." The Gilbert vampire reported.

Rosie simply nods once at the grateful mention, "You're welcome." Shane must have asked someone to kidnap Jeremy and tricked Bonnie to be led away using her own locator spell, using the hunter's disappearance as a distraction for the group to split up, giving him the opportunity to steal the tombstone and run away with it; his team consists only of Bonnie and Jeremy, who must be with him for right about now somewhere far away.

The Devon girl piped in, "Well, then that just means you guys are idiots."

"We're aware, Minerva, you don't have to state the obvious." Elena said.

Caroline gives her close friend a look, "Well, where's Damon in all this?"

"We had an argument. I thought he was just taking a walk, but then when we went to the beach, we saw signs of a struggle." Elena told them further.

"Meaning what?" Minerva asked, her arms folded over her chest.

"Meaning somebody probably jumped him and then grabbed him!"

"Do you think Shane took him?" The Forbes vampire asked.

"No, I mean, he's not strong enough to take Damon on, even with the element of surprise. He must have someone, or at least a few someones helping him." The chestnut brunette reported the sneaky possibility.

"Obviously." The college freshman added on.

"I'm so sorry. I wish I was there to help." Caroline told her best friend.

"Well, maybe there's something you can do from home." Elena begun.

"Anything. Tell me. I'm just glad Minerva's back from Whitmore."

"So Shane's looking for the cure. We think we can find him. We have pictures of Jeremy's tattoo, but we just can't translate the map."

Minerva continued, "Unless we get the hunter's sword from Klaus."
