🐱 Chapter 4. Something different

I came to work Saturday morning. Dino was in his office like usual. I couldn't hide my excitement as I saw him. He really gave me that strange feeling I never fell before and I wanted to be around him all day long, 24/7. I hate it my mom was so rude towards him. Dino is just like me, different. He could understand me, but I am still afraid of telling him. I wanted to tell him I am a Neko. Perhaps if I know him better, I am able to tell him the truth.
"Morning, Sky..." he replied without looking at me. "I am sorry for what my mother said to you, Dino. You had all the right to be angry..." she replied.

Dino turned around to face me. "She's always like that when I make friends or anything. That's why I don't have any friends," I sighed as I sat down behind the desk. "At least I tried..." he sulked. "She's thinking about it... to let me work four days a week... it would be a huge relief. Being stuck at home so much is frustrating me," I muttered. Dino smiled at me and sat down behind his desk. "About something else..." he trailed off. "We need to talk about your training..." he stated.

I sighed. Dino would have started about it anyway. Even if I tried not to avoid the subject. "You want me to wear pants... and a top," I replied. He nodded firmly and stared at me. For a moment we drowned in each others eyes. It made my heart beat ten times faster and forget about everything else. For a moment I felt normal again, not being treated like a pet. "I look hideous if I wear what you want me to wear..." I replied. "No, you're beautiful, Skyler... Don't be so insecure about yourself," he stated firmly.

I smiled weakly at that and looked down at the wooden desk. "So, any type of pants and top is fine?" I asked. "Yes..." he replied. "Fine, you win..." I sighed, looking up again. How can I not give him what he wants. I'll come up with something to hide my tail. "Tomorrow, I'll wear something you want me to wear..." I responded. "It's not about what I want, Sky... I don't want to force you, but I think that for our training, you should wear something... different," he stated.

I don't have any idea of something that would suit me. My mom is always buying me dresses and skirts so I can easily hide my tail. I needed someone who could tell me what would look good on me. So, during my break, I searched for the femmes. "Hi, Skyler..." Moonracer chirped. I returned the smile and greeted the others. "I have a question, "what do you think would look good on me?" I asked.
"You mean... pants and shirts? Hmm... I think lots of stuff would look good on you to be honest," Arcee replied. "Yeah, I think that a green color would match perfect with your dark blonde hair... " Chromia stated. "You should wear something that fits your slim body..." Elita added. I thought about it and nodded, "okay, great!" I chirped.

When I finished, I lied to my mom that I stayed a little longer and after an argument, she told me she wanted me home before 9 PM. It gave me enough time to get some clothing from the store. I felt really nervous as I walked in the first store and grabbed some things I liked. I needed something that is able to cover my tail and at the same look nice too. I think I am able to put my tail in one leg from the pants, but it would create a bump. My ears are more challenging. Perhaps a bow, I don't know yet.
I ended up buying jogging pants, big enough to hide my tail in without making it visible and a sports bra. I also bought sports leggings, but I couldn't stuff my tail in it. I had to cut a hole for my tail in it. I just liked the leggings so much that I bought it. For my ears, I had some serious struggles. The bows wouldn't hide my ears at all and looked hideous on me as well. Dino told me I couldn't use a beanie either, so I bought a wig, in the exact same color as my hair so it would match. I am quite excited about it and couldn't wait for tomorrow.

The next morning, I spent two hours dressing up in the clothes I bought and I loved the result. The wig is working perfectly, hiding my fluffy cat ears. For the first time since a very long time, I am wearing pants and a top. I nearly forgot how it felt. Also weird to see myself in the mirror like this, without ears.
As I arrived at the base, Dino was pleased. He praised me for how good I looked and made me a little shy. I am not used to getting so many compliments on my look. He dragged my ass in the training room and showed me a couple of moves, which I could copy without effort. I think I impressed him. Besides that, I am fast and able to jump really high and make twists in the air because my spine is so flexible.
I had so much energy and when the training ended. I think I tired out Dino instead of him tiring me out. He sat down, quite sweaty himself too. "You did an amazing job, Skyler..." he sighed, getting up and gesturing to me to follow him.

He allowed me to take a shower in his room. It was the first time I entered my room and hummed. "What?" He asked. "Much... more organized then your office," I replied teasingly. He snorted and gave me a 'really' look.
I followed him into the bathroom. He gave me a towel and left. I undressed and hopped in, taking a quick shower. My mom would freak out if she would know what I am doing.
After we were both done, we did some paperwork as well. "You did well today... I should take back what I said previously," he said out of the blue. "Thanks..."

I blushed at his words, feeling flattered. I hold back the feeling of climbing on his lap and letting him pet me. No one ever did that to me before. I looked down to hide my embarrassment for even thinking it.
