Chapter 11

THOMAS POV:

That was a memory. I know it. I stayed at the hospital till my leg healed. My mom had to give me baths while I was there. We left and I only had the cast. I am able to use my left arm but no heavy lifting and be careful. I was at the library. I was looking threw the books about the mythical gladers woods. Or at least that what the books say about it. I found enough to start with and started reading at a table. Glader woods has been there since the native Americas came here. Maybe even before. It started off with Just a boy and girl. Alby and Harriet. There is no record of them being a couple but according to legion they were always just there. There is no record of them being human. Over the years they added more gladers. In the 18th hundreds too many people were going in there. Mostly teenagers and they were either turned or mostly found dead. So the people burned the woods. Only to find it come back the next morning. Everyone who was turned had a life as a human with records.

I'm sure Minho will be added. I signed and shook off the memory. The boy who turned him was named Ben Skywalker. He was a random teenage who didn't always follow the rules and had no interest in marriage. In the 18th hundreds marriage was different than today. It was also mentioned how Ben was gay. Winston ran into glader woods after one of his goats. He found his goat but later became a glader instead of playing the game. Gally was just some shank who was kinda a fuck boy. He went into the woods to show how brave he is and impress the girls at his town but he didn't find the eight pages and begged the gladers to turn him into a glader instead of killing him. So much for being brave. I laughed a little. Sonya was Newt's sister. She secretly fell in love with a glader named Aris. Aris saved Sonya from being raped. The rapist died and Sonya and Aris fell in love. She snuck away to see him every day. The day she was going to be turned into a glader Newt followed her into the woods.

Newt agreed to become a glader because Sonya was all he had left. I felt the pain of what I did again. Chuck was a boy who entered the woods after his parents were confirmed dead. The gladers agreed to take care of him. There was many other stories. I turned the to the last page. Minho was a highschooler who ran into the woods to save his best friend Thomas. Minho became a glader and fell in love with Ben. Thomas later was engaged to Newt but broke the engagement when he found the eight pages and left the woods. Newt has been depressed ever since and Thomas regrets what he did for the rest of his life. I was surprised. The book was already updated? More importantly I was engaged to Newt? When did that shucking happen? I blushed a little. Newt and I could of got married. It must of been the necklace but Newt took it back. I slammed the book closed and moved onto the next book. Which explains how it works. Apparently Chuck draws the pages. It's his job. Before the others would have to do it but since Chuck is a kid they decided to make him draw them and Chuck likes to draw the pages.
