Chapter 13

THOMAS POV:

I bolted up as I heard this roar. I was out of breath. I heard it again and realized it was just my stupid alarm. Why the shuck did I choose a griever roar as my alarm? The shuck is a griever? I signed and played on my phone. I always wake up a hour early so I can go on my phone and wake myself up. Then it is easier for me to get up before I have to get ready and leave. I received a notification and was surprised as to what it was.

Minho: Hey shuck face, you awake

Thomas: Minho? How the shuck did you text me

Minho: Uh same as always shuck face. Just press buttons on a screen and send it to you

Thomas: No, I mean you have a phone

Minho: Ya

Minho: Hi Thomas

Thomas: Um, hi

Minho: Sorry about that. One of the gladers stole my phone. They are all surprised by it

Thomas: So why did you text me

Minho: To kick you in the balls if ever come back here

Thomas: Did they steal your phone again

Minho: Ya, that was Gally

Thomas: I figured. He is the one with mad eyebrows right

Minho: Ya, anyway I wanted to tell you that you should come back

Minho: Gally told me to tell you that he will kick you in the balls

Thomas: To be fair I probably deserve that. I'll think about coming back. I hope Newt is doing okay

There was no response. I went back to playing on my phone till I had to get ready for school. It was nice to talk to Minho again. I got everything and left for school. I remember Minho and I would also walk together and talk about stuff. Mostly video games. We played a lot of video games. I kinda miss those days. It's so quiet walking to school by myself. I made it and entered. "Hey Thomas you made it. Like what happened" asked a boy. "It's a long story" I said. I just don't want to talk about it. "Cool, you can tell us over lunch" said the boy. I was a little nervous. The boy left and I went to my locker. I will focus on school. My phone dinged again.

Minho: Newt wanted me to tell you that if you do come back then he said to either marry him and become a glader or have the others kill you

I didn't respond. Will I actually become a glader? I will have to think about all this. I signed and headed to class. I still regret what I did. I just need to move on. I got to class and sat down. The teacher was having us take notes. I rested my head and pretended to take notes. I ended up falling asleep. I was walking around the woods. Newt walked up to me. He gave me a peck on the lips and hugged me. I hugged back and closed my eyes. "I love you Tommy" said Newt. "I love you two Newt" I said. We broke the hug and Newt stared into my eyes. He put his hand on my cheek. "Will you become a glader and marry me" asked Newt. "Yes" I said. We were about to kiss when I heard a loud bang. I bolted up and the whole class laughed. I must of been caught sleeping. "Next time, pay attention" said the teacher. The class calmed down and we continued. I tried to focus but couldn't. Every thought some how lead to Newt. I miss him.
