"Will you... no that sounds stupid..." I ask dozens of times in front of the bathroom mirror holding a ring. "Will you be mine forever? No... uh... I know we just started dating but I want to give you this to show you exactly how much you mean to me. Sounds okay I guess."

I take a deep breath and shove the ring into my pants pocket.

What if she says no?

Oh God damn it... I didn't even think about if she says no!

You always have to think of all possible outcomes. Outcome number one, she says yes and you go on to a life where you are happy for eternity or- she says no... then, knowing you, you'd go on to fucking a random girl and falling madly in love even though she's an addict.

It was one time! I wonder what Keith is doing right now... he's probably plotting how to kill us. He's probably turning innocent horny teenagers for his fucking army.

Stop thinking about it. Your fucked up brain is the main cause of my migraines!

I can't stop thinking about it. Ever since he disappeared, I can't stop thinking about him. He is probably plotting on killing Sierra in front of me and killing me in front of Kyle. God, I want him dead.

Look kid, I want him dead as much, if not more, than you do. But you can't let these memories cloud your judgement. Use this rage and pain you have built up when you kill him.

If I kill him, Kyle might be mad, but then Keith can't threaten us... but then again, he pays for us to live here... but if I kill him, Kyle would get money from Keith's will that will last us years. What to do, what to do.

An hour of devising passes... I haven't made my mind up yet. Sierra and Kris think I should kill him, Karson and Kameron haven't voiced their opinions, and Kyle is conflicted. The way Kyle sees it, his insane uncle wants to kill us but Keith is the only family Kyle has left.

Unfortunately, we haven't seen Keith in weeks. Ever since we found Sierra dead, he dropped off the face of the Earth. As he should've, but he should've made that drop permanent. Preferably in a six-feet-deep, rectangular hole where I can bury him myself.

"Babe, Karson made breakfast, come on!" Sierra yells from the other side of the bathroom door.

Normally I love when Karson cooks but today I just don't have it in me. It's like we are going to war and not coming home. I'm sure everyone's nerves are high and wish that this isn't necessary.

I open the bathroom door and walk down the stairs, greeted by a strong scent of cooked bacon. The Pack congregates towards the kitchen island.

"Morning, brotha." Karson greets whilst flipping a golden, brown pancake. Bacon excitedly snaps! and pops! in a separate frying pan.

Kyle, Sierra, and Kameron all have the same emotionless stare. Six blue-green eyes searing into my skull along with their pale and vacant expressions. London whispers sweet nothings into Kris's ear to cut the tension, Karson shovels strips of bacon into his mouth. Megan smirks.

Why do I have the feeling I did something wrong?

"Did I do something to piss you guys off?" I question. Sierra and Kameron slightly relax, returning to their breakfasts, only to poke at lifeless, fluffy pancakes and sizzling, crisp bacon.

"I'm not sure if Sierra told you but... I've tracked down Keith, I know where he's hiding," Kyle begins. "after breakfast, pack an overnight bag we are going on a road trip," I nod and sit down at the barstool next to Sierra. Kyle stabs a portion of his fluffy, golden pancake on a paper plate. "oh, and Jake... pack your gun."
