"SURPRISE!!!"

Nico pov

"You can set it up over there." I could hear the stress in my own voice. This party was going to be the death of me.  Will was supposed to be home to help by now but surprise! surprise! He is stuck at the hospital. At least this time he texted.

"Nico don't look so stressed honey! It's gonna be great. Hazel is gonna flip." It was a surprise party for my little sister. Technically her birthday was a couple of weeks away, but Frank wanted to surprise her. Another stress on my mind. Frank isn't here yet. His flight is delayed.

I choose not to answer Piper but rather turned my attention to food. Cooking always made me feel better. It reminded me of my mum. An hour of chopping, frying and baking and I am almost done.

"Wow Nico will you marry me?" Annabeth rouses me from my thought. I give her a smirk.

"Sorry you don't have the right equipment." She pretended to pout at me. "I don't blame you for asking. I have seen Percy try to cook. Is he out of his weird blue eating phase?"

"Dude it was short time at camp!!!! Let it go!!" Percy yelled from the living room. Annabeth and I chuckle at his indignation.

I check my phone.

Jason: Frank's flight is still delayed. Will be another hour.

I grit my teeth and smoosh my face with my left hand.

"You all right Nico?" Annabeth asked.

"Frank is running late." I said.

"He'll be here" Annabeth patted my shoulder. "Speaking of being here....... where is Will? I feel like I haven't seen him in forever."

I sighed, "You and me both". I picked up a box of cups and walked out of the kitchen. Leaving Annabeth to interpret that.

Over at the hospital

Will pov.

I put my phone away after texting Nico. I sigh. He is going to be upset. I hate that ofcourse but It's not like I am out playing golf. This is important.

"You alright Will?"

I look up. Bryce Lawrence was leaning against the wall. He was the other intern. He not exactly the smartest guy I have ever met. I suspect the large amount of money his father donates to the hospital had something to do with his internship. He was nice enough though and it was nice having someone to talk too.

"Yeah.... just letting my boyfriend know that I will be late."

"Yeah these hours are crazy. Atleast you have some one too come home too. My boyfriend Tim is studying abroad. I am sure your man understands how important this is to your career."

I sigh and think of the dark house I came home too last night. I wasn't as sure as Bryce that Nico understood.

"Well I never get to the party if we don't get this supply room in order."

"You guys are having a party?"

Annabeth pov

We were crouched behind the couch. Ofcoarse this is when my idiot fiancee decides to grab my ass. I promptly elbow him. "Cut it out seaweed brain!" I hissed.

"Never wisegirl." I turned to see his lopsided grin that gets me every time. I elbow him again, so he didn't think he won.

I look across at Frank. He came straight from the airport. He was still in his fatigues. He looked nervous. He kept patting his pocket. We herd footsteps...... you could feel the excitement in the room.

"SURPRISE!!!!!!" We all yelled.

"Aaaggghhhh!!!" Yelled a very startled Will. He had a guy with him who looked equally startled. He had brown hair, green eyes and wore clothes that screamed money.

"Will!" Nico called. He walked out from behind the walkway he was hiding in. His attention quickly turned to the guy with Will. "Who's this."

"Oh this is Bryce." Will said. "He is an intern too." The guy raised his hand shake Nico's. Nico just stared back.

I shared an how awkward is this look with Percy.

"Um guys Hazel should be here any moment." I interjected.

"Actually she is already here. What are you guys all doing." We spun around to face her. We all looked at each other not sure what to do.

"Well actually." Frank stepped out from behind her. "We were kinda hoping to surprise you."

Hazel's face instantly lit up. "FRANK!" she turned and jumped straight into his arms. "Your home!" Her voice was  full of emotion. Frank closed his eyes and just seemed to forget the whole world but Hazel. He was so large that Hazel seemed to disappear in his arms.

Frank suddenly seemed to remember we were all there. He stepped back all red in the face. He cleared his throat. "Yeah I am home." He looked over at Nico who gave him nod. He looked back at Hazel.

"I ummm have come home to you Hazel and you are the person I always want to come home too. I ahhh don't have any family left. But I am ahh hoping to fix that." He knelt down on one knee. Hazel's eyes went wide as she realised what was happening. He pulled out a little box. He swallowed hard before shakely asking, "Miss Hazel Lavesque...... would you marry me?.......please."

Frank opened the box to show an antique looking ring. Hazel stared in shock. A moment passed. Then she lept forward and kissed him. Frank nearly dropped the ring. "Yes!! Yes, yes, yes!!!"
