A week had passed since the lock down had been placed, and everyone was getting antsy. Suddenly, a siren sounded in the barracks that the team was stationed in. A voice followed the siren. "PANZER, make your way to the common area and turn your television on." The broadcast ended as the team converged in front of the T.V.
Johnson turned on the T.V. as a news report started. A news reporter that looked like he hadn't slept in days sat in front of the camera with a wrinkled white shirt with several coffee stains on it.
He seemed to not be able to believe the news he was about to deliver. That he had dropped everything he was doing when he was instructed that he was to inform the world of the events that had conspired.
"Ladies and gentlemen." He started, very nervously and shake. Quickly dabbing sweat from his head with his sleeve. "A week ago, a government Black-Ops team was assigned to take down the leader of the Future of Germany radical terrorist group, that has seized control of Germany and several surrounding countries..." He looked down at his paper and looked back up to the camera. "Hans Takoda, has been confirmed dead, shot and killed in a raid on their base in the former prison camp Auschwitz."
There was a long pause of silence before Shawn spoke in an almost whisper. "We got him."
The room erupted in cheers and yelling. Tom hugged Ella and Alex as Shawn high-fived Johnson. Tom looked around the room and saw that Benson was nowhere to be seen, But at this moment, he didn't care.
He excused himself from the group and quickly made his way to his room and retrieved a small velvet box and put it in his pocket.
He walked back into the common room and made his way to Ella. He took the box out and put it behind his back.
"Ella Jackson." He started as she turned around to meet his eyes. He knelt and brought the box out from behind him and held it out before him. "I know that this isn't how this kind of thing normally goes, but then again, we aren't a normal group of people."
She covered her mouth with her hands as her eyes began to water.
Tom opened the box and presented a silver ring with a large diamond. "Will you marry me?"
Ella nodded before saying "Yes, yes, of course I will!"
Tom stood up and placed the ring on her finger and kissed her.
Alex, Shawn, Johnson, and the Ramos twins all went "Awwww." As Alex made kissy sounds toward Tom. Tom and Ella laughed as she looked at her ring. "How long have you had this?"
Tom shrugged. "For a few years." They all laughed again as Alex came up to them. "Congratulations Tommy. You're a lucky woman Ella." He laughed again.
Shawn approached with a small book folded in his hands. "Sir, if it's ok with you and Ella, I'm an ordained minister, you two could be married here and now."
Tom looked to Ella and she vigorously nodded.
"Make it happen kid. Alex, get over here and be my best man." Alex happily trotted over to Tom's side
"Johnson, you can by my man of honor if you'd like." Ella chuckled.
"Be my honor ma'am." He took her arm and walked her to the end of the hall.
The Ramos twins sat on the couch and played wedding music from their phones and tablets. Johnson escorted Ella down the hall and in front of Tom.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in this barrack to join these two in holy matrimony." Shawn started. "If there is anyone who does not think these two should be married, then keep it to yourself and your trap shut." Everyone gave out a small laugh as Shawn continued. "Thomas Michael Hanson, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"You bet your ass I do." Tom smiled.
"And Ella, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"Of course I do." She said as she wiped a tear from her eye.
"Then by the power vested in me, by the state of being the only qualified person here, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Go ahead and plant one on her sir." Shawn finished as everyone cheered again and Tom kissed Ella again.
"I love you Ella." Tom said
"I love you too Tom." She replied.
