"Junho, make a list of all the personnel working for the Kim's. Jihyo, I trust you with the preparations and the venue for the meet and greet. Taelha, you're in charge for the food, do collaborate with Jihyo for any preparations needed. If there's any concerns, don't hesitate to discuss it with me, do you understand?"
"Yes, Miss Kim!"
I nodded in satisfaction before dismissing the meeting. Taking a seat on the head chair, I gathered all my papers and began studying them while the whole team exited the meeting room. The meet and greet event that I've planned will be held the day after tomorrow and it makes me happy to see that my employees are excited about it. It's a little event that I've planned to meet with my employees personally, I admit it's a bit daunting to meet hundreds of employees but I believe that seeing me personally would put their minds at rest to whatever doubts they have about the new management.
A hand knocked on the wooden table to get my attention and I smile to see Jihyo still on her seat as she looked at me proudly, "You're doing a great job, Dahyun."
Forgetting the papers for a while, I gave Jihyo an inquisitive look as I spoke, "You think so? I'm still having doubts if I can really handle the business as well as you and my father did."
"Doubting yourself is sometimes a good thing, this would make you more perceptive and driven to do better," Jihyo smile at me reassuringly, "But don't let those doubts lead you to self-deprecation."
"You always know what to say, unnie," I gave her a grateful smile.
"Take it from me who has the experience, Dahyun," Jihyo patted my shoulder as she stood up, "You're doing great so far and I believe you will continue to do so."
I found myself sighing in relief at her words, "Thank you, unnie."
"Uncle must've been so happy to have you here," Jihyo wondered and I laugh as the memory of my father being ecstatic about me handling the business.
"He is," I replied, "He never stops talking about how you are though, one would think your his daughter than me." This made us both laugh.
"I'll call him, I think it's time to let uncle know about my engagement," Jihyo said as she smiled fondly at the ring on her finger.
"Speaking of, how come I still haven't seen this fiancée of yours," I pouted.
Jihyo chuckled before answering, "He's on a business trip right now, he'll be back next week for Mina and Chaeyoung's fifth anniversary."
"Oh damn, I forgot their anniversary is next week!" I facepalmed but grateful for Jihyo's reminder, I could not begin to think what Chaeyoung's gonna do if I forget about it.
"Good thing you remembered, Chaeyoung would probably never talk to you again if you're not there," Jihyo laughed.
"I have to buy gifts!" I looked at Jihyo, "I know Chaeyoung well but not Mina, what do you think she would like?"
"Any gift from you would be enough for them. Mina likes penguins though, that should help." Jihyo answered and I began to plan what my gift would be.
"Go to the East Mall, that's the closest from here, Sana could take you there." I snapped my head towards Jihyo as I heard the name.
"I can go there by myself," I quickly replied.
"A lot has change since the last time you were here, Dahyun," Jihyo explained, "Sana knows the area better, trust me she's reliable with this things."
Not wanting to get Jihyo any more suspicious with my actions towards Sana, I sighed in defeat and just agreed with her decision. It's been two days since I last saw her and I was planning to lengthen that even more but I guess that's not possible now.
