Chaotic.
That's one word I can use to describe this day. People are running around and about as they carried out their orders and duties, the island is buzzing with barely contained energy for the opening night of the Neverland Festival. Various tourists have arrived, our hotels are brimming full of people who wanted to enjoy the popular festival, the news of various big artists that are performing even doubled the number of tourists. Day6, Stray Kids, and ITZY from Konnect Entertainment owned by Kang Daniel are the main artists of this year's festival. It also means that I'm even busier than ever, Jihyo and I got our hands full from handling the hotels, guests, and the management.
I haven't slept fully these past few days because of the number of paperwork and meetings I've been handling. The stress and tension were overbearing and now that the opening is just a few hours away, my stress levels are tenfold. My leisure time is temporarily on hold, which means, I haven't spent any time with Sana for five days now. She might be with me because she's my assistant and all that but unless we're attending meetings and going to various areas, we're separated almost all the time. This might also be the reason why I'm always in a sour mood this past few days.
I let out a deep sigh after pushing the files away from me to pinch the bridge of my nose and closing my eyes tiredly. My office is a mess, papers are everywhere, they're on my desk, on the coffee table, and even at one of the couches. Emptied cups of coffee, thrown shirts, and take out boxes littered in one area, I can't even remember how many days I've been holed up in my office.
Dropping my head on the table, I groaned, "I don't think I can survive the whole duration of this festival."
A second later, I heard a knock on my door. Not even bothering to look up, I just called them to come in. The door closed and I waited for the person to speak because I couldn't even find it in me to talk anymore.
"When was the last time you've slept?" I immediately turn my head to the woman I've been missing these days.
"Sana," A whine from called out to her and she smiled sweetly at me, "I'm so tired."
Sana rounded my desk just to sit on it as she looked down at me, her hand reached my face and raising them so that my head rested on her lap before she murmured softly, "Oh, you're adorable like this."
"Can I take you out?" I gave Sana a curious look when she softly asked. The way she looks at me full of worry and concern made my heart swell, I like this about her.
"Yes," I murmured while my eyes never left hers.
The sweet smile and the bright laugh she gave me is like music to my ears and I found myself smiling at her too. If only she knows how she can make me feel a thousand things just by seeing her smile.
"Thank you," Sana answered as she bent down to kiss my cheek.
"What do you have in mind?" I asked her.
"I'll show you," Sana grinned before helping me stand.
She took hold of my hand, collected my things, kissing me on the lips before guiding me out of my office. I don't really have much energy that's why I'm letting her have the lead while I follow. A break would be a good idea and it's more worth it if I have to spend it with Sana.
Sana drove off and I noticed the sun is just about to descend. We drive towards the West Beach and everywhere I look, I see a huge amount of people, crowds of different kind mingling and enjoying the festivities. West Beach is the center of the Neverland Festival, this where all of the biggest activities and events are held because the Islands amusement park is also located there. The obnoxiously huge stage at the very front of the beach was noticeable, staffs, crews, and other workers are diligently manning the stage.
