My mind just keeps on coming back to Yoo Yeonjung, the younger sister of Jeongyeon who may or may not have feelings for the woman I'm currently enamored with.
"Dammit," I hissed as I threw the file I was supposed to be reading back into my desk.
I loosened my tie before standing up to look out to the beach outside the office window, I see the sun beginning to set, covering the world in its magnificent warm color. Maybe I'm just thinking too much, I can't deny that I'm not bothered with what Chaeyoung said, Yeonjung said so herself, she and Sana have been friends for a long time, it isn't impossible to have feelings for Sana. I mean who wouldn't fall for that wonderful woman?
A sound from my phone broke me out of my thoughts, I looked at it to see Sana is calling me, "Where are you?" I heard her ask.
"I'm still at the office," I answered with a smile forming on my lips just by hearing her voice.
"Are you still busy?" She asked, "I can come over and help you."
"What about your friend?" I tried to voice out as casually as possible.
"She's gone back to Jeongyeon's place," Sana answered, "There will be a little welcome back party for her there, I'm actually just about to ask if you wanted to come with me?"
I shouldn't...
"Should I?" I responded, "I mean, I just met her and to my knowledge, she had been away for a while, wouldn't you like to spend more time with your friend a little longer?"
"I would like that, yes," Sana hummed in agreement, "But, I missed you too much today and I'd like to be with you more right now if it pleases you, Miss Kim?" And I can just picture her grinning as she spoke.
"Sure," I spoke evenly as I pinched myself to stop from grinning like a madman, "I'll just finish up here and then I can go home to freshen up."
"Great," I heard her laugh a little, "Dana and I are actually just hanging out at your place."
"What?" Sana laughed and then I heard a cute giggle right after.
"Dada, come home," Dana giggled on the other line, "We're waiting!"
"Okay, cutie," I feel myself melt with all the warm feelings flooding me, "I'm coming home."
Feeling quite energized, I quickened my pace to pack my things before heading out of my office and into Jihyo's. I found her putting one last file inside her bag before she saw me, "I guess Sana already told you about Yeonjung's party?" She asked.
"Will there be a lot of people?" I asked as we stepped inside the elevator that will take us down to the lobby.
"I don't think so," Jihyo answered, "Maybe some of Yeonjung's friends will be there and aside from our group, I think that'll be the only guests tonight."
We were silent after but just as we exited the elevator when we arrived in the lobby, I heard Jihyo call for my attention, "Look, what Chaeyoung said about Yeonjung," I met Jihyo's gaze as she continued to speak, "I don't think you have anything to worry about that."
"I won't deny that it hadn't been exhausting thinking about it," I gave Jihyo a brief smile, "If Yeonjung has feelings for Sana then I won't create any trouble for it, it's her business. Sana is with me and that's enough."
Jihyo smiled at that, "I'm happy to know that. You really grew up, Dahyun."
After that, Jihyo and I said goodbye to each other to go on our separate ways. As I drove my car towards home, I started thinking about what I said to Jihyo, I know my relationship with Sana has been going pretty well and that we are romantically intimate with each other. We go on dates, we sleepover at each other's place, I did say I'm not looking for a casual hook-up and she agreed, saying she doesn't have only herself to think about but as well as Dana's well-being. We've voiced out how much we like spending time with each other and began dating. I think at the pace Sana and I are going, we're borderline going into the serious relationship category and I can't help but feel afraid, daunted even.
