When Sana parked into the parking lot of a colorful establishment, my eyes caught the bright name of the place. Yoo's Cuisine
I turned to the child who's already leaning between mine and Sana's seat. I smiled at her before looking at her mother, "Can I carry her?" I asked.
Sana once again looked at me in surprise before nodding wordlessly. I looked at the little girl's eyes as I spoke softly, "Come on, baby, let Dahyun-unnie carry you."
She immediately spread her arms for me, "Dada."
I laughed as I placed her in my lap, "Da...hyun...u...nnie," I pronounced slowly.
"Da-Da... Dada," She giggled at me instead.
I looked at her with wide eyes but I still felt my heart melt at her cuteness, "U-unnie, Call me unnie, for now," I stuttered.
The little girl just grabbed my cheeks and began to play with them, "Dada," She spoke again and I just sighed in defeat.
I looked at the silent woman beside me to see that she was looking at her daughter in surprise like I was, "Wh-what's her name?" I asked.
"Dana," Sana answered.
I smiled as I placed blowing kisses on the little girls cheeks, "Dana, so cute!"
Sana cleared her throat, "We should go inside," She gestured, "Let's eat dinner."
I nodded and we both stepped out of the car. Sana walked ahead, carrying both our bags and she guided me up into the steps and through the door of what I now realized as a diner. It was a simple diner but I took it in with great interest because of its homey feeling, the interior is made and covered of dark wood with a lot of paintings that varies from foods to quotes hanging on every wall.
"This place is beautiful," I muttered.
"A close friend of mine owns this place and this is our favorite diner," Sana smiled at me, "The foods here are great, I think you'll like it."
"Is that you, Sana?" Our attention was pulled to a tall older woman with a very small and attractive face that was framed by her short blonde hair.
"Jeong!" Sana smiled as she engulfed the woman in a hug.
"Bitch, you haven't visited for days now!" The woman called, Jeong, slapped Sana's arm.
"I'm sorry, work just got a lot busier," It didn't escape my notice how Sana's eyes landed on me as she said that.
The woman followed Sana's gaze on me and she stepped closer as she gave me a lopsided grin, "Hi, I'm the owner of Yoo's Cuisine, Yoo Jeongyeon."
I managed to shake her hand as I introduced myself, "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim Dahyun," And I watched as her eyes widened at hearing my name. Oh boy.
"K-Kim?" She exclaimed in both surprise and awe.
"Stop embarrassing yourself, Jeong," Sana slapped the back of her head.
Jeongyeon then turned to Sana, "Wait, her name's Dahyun?" She asked before glancing back and forth between me and Sana.
She seemed to realize something as she gape at Sana, "Holy shi-"
Sana clamp a hand to cover Jeongyeon's mouth as she let out a nervous laugh, "Dinner! That's what we came here for, Jeong."
Sana turned to me, "I'm just gonna order, you two can find a seat, sajangnim," She told me before pulling Jeongyeon quite forcefully away from me.
Dana and I looked at each other, "What's wrong with your mom?" I poked her nose playfully, making her giggle in return.
I looked around the diner before I decided to take the seat on the floor to ceiling glass window that overlooked the setting ocean. I took a seat on one of the plush chairs and place Dana beside me but it seems that she took quite a liking into my lap as she crawled over and made herself comfortable as we waited for her mom to come back.
