The next day in school I started off with a very positive attitude. I don't know what exactly has gotten into me, but although I was reliving the craziest and most disturbing part of me life, I haven't felt this great in two years. Might be his influence, eh?

May, Dawn and I just said our goodbyes since they had class now, but my luck just really got me a free period, because my teacher has a doctors appointment.

I hope she's fine tho.

I was walking towards the entrance of the school, since Ash and I decided to meet up there, but before I could reach the entrance, a big force suddenly bumped into my back, just as I felt to hands grabbing my shoulders to prevent me from falling.

"Ayeee Sere!"

Ash. I turned my head at him, smiling at his goofiness just to be proven by the typical Ketchum-Toothy-Grin. His eyes slowly averted to my neck, the corner of his lips inching closer now forming a pout. "Aw man, why did you cover it up?"

"I can't just walk around with a bruise on my neck. What would people think? Oh my god what would Miette think? Oh my god Palermo is gonna kill me." I widened my eyes in shock, going through all the possibilities that were on the table.

Very possible possibility.

"But we're at school! Only shows people you already belong to someone. I think that's great." he still pouted. "I don't belong to you, I belong to myself. Besides, I wouldn't wanna date anyone anyway."

"You're no fun. You're dating me tho."

"Well, if I'm no fun ,why did you ask me out?"

"Because I wanted you to be mine~" he cooed as I rolled my eyes. "Keep dreaming, Ketchum." I spoke, proud of my comeback, believing to have defeated his pride. How could I be naïve enough to forget that he's the King of comebacks?

"Well Serena, if you really give no fucks, why did you cover it up?"

I didn't say anything, instead, I just got out of his grip and started walking a little faster. "H-Hey where are you going?" he yelled behind me, trying to catch up with my tempo.

"I'm hungry!"

————————

"If you would've said you were thirsty this day would've taken a whole 'nother route."

"Oh, shut up."

Ash and I were currently sitting in a random little diner not far from school. I've been here a few times before, but the last time I've been here was many months ago. I don't even remember what exactly I ordered. Right now I just really wanted something to munch on, so I ended up ordering the 'Fiesta-Fries', just fries with guacamole and tomatoes, while Ash went for the Chili-Cheese fries.

The name speaks for itself.

"Hey Ash."

"Hmm?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"I suppose you just did, princess."

The corner of his lips curled up in a smirk. That teasing little smirk of his that could get any girl to kneel for him. That smirk that shows that he just knows what to do to get what he wants, almost in a manipulative way, but you couldn't be mad. Funny that only a few face muscles used could have such an impact.

"Tell me when I'm supposed to laugh, okay?" I responded as he broke out in a slight chuckle. "Quite the charmer, as always."

"Anyways, can I?"

"Sure. Let's see what's up in that pretty little head of yours."

I rolled my eyes playfully before continuing. I was about to ask something, that would put me in the most vulnerable place I have been in a long time. This question was not only going to hurt my pride and ego, but the result of the conversation could really harm my dignity and the confidence I have left for myself. This was an all-in situation. This was a two paths situation. Everything or nothing. This was about Life and Death.
