Here's a a sneak peak of my new short story. Comment on what you think about the idea!
The sky was clear, no clouds in sight. Butterfly's hovered in the air like spots of color over a green meadow. A blonde-haired boy lay in the grass. His eyes were closed, and he held a sketchbook to his chest. Beside him sat a hulking ogre with purple pigtails. Keefe Sencen and his ogre princess bodyguard.
"Ugggg I'm bored," Ro groaned as she pulled chunks of grass out of the ground. Keefe's eyes fluttered opened at the sound and he glanced over at her.
"Too bad," Keefe mumbled.
"Come on your not even doing anything," Ro whined.
"I'm drawing," he said, picking up the sketchbook. Smirking Ro said,
"Yeah sure. And you know instead of just sitting there you could be with a certain someone right now..."
"Oh, shut up," Keefe said, but smiled slightly.
"Come on Hunkyhair, stop being a chicken and just tell her," Ro said.
"Mmmm But I can't," Keefe moaned. Ro went quiet, which surprised Keefe, since she usually never shut up. Little did he know, an idea was raging in the ogre princesses head. Keefe, unaware, continued to stare at the pages of the little gold sketchbook while Ro's grin got wider and wider.
