Hey! So, I know I haven't updated in FOREVER, and I'm sorry about that, I just haven't had a lot of inspiration lately. I really just wrote this to kind of try to get back into writing, so it probably sucks, but anyway here you go:

Keefe POV

Sophie sat next to me on the porch swing, she was smiling at me, and when I looked into her eyes they were shinning. Seeing the joy in her beautiful brown eyes made me grin from ear to ear. I hadn't seen her this happy in a long time.

"It's really beautifully here," Sophie said, her eyes roaming over the beach just a few feet away from the mansion I now lived in.

"Yeah, besides the whole my father living here thing," I joked, but to be honest it was beautiful here. The sun was setting, causing the sky to bleed with color. These reds and oranges were brighter than any I had ever seen.

I looked over at Sophie and wow. She looked so perfect. The golden flecks in her eyes sparkled and cool ocean breezes made pieces of her hair dance around in the air.

"Hey Keefe," she said suddenly, turning to face me.

"Yeah?"

"I like you," Sophie blurted out quickly. My jaw dropped. She actually liked me back?

"Umm well I like you to. I have for a while," I said, trying to hold back a grin. A smile broke out over her face and I soared into whole new levels of happiness.

Suddenly I was leaning forward and so was she. Now our lips were inches away when—

"Hunkyhair! Wake up already!" A voice yelled in my ear. The gorgeous sunset was instantly replaced with my messy bedroom. Sophie was no longer there, but Ro was standing at the end of my bed, arms folded.

"You're late for that Black Swan meeting thing," Ro stated. I blinked in confusion, then finally realizing what was going on, I jumped out of bed.

"Damn it. I'm already half an hour late!" I exclaimed after seeing the clock. I took a five-minute shower and got dressed, the whole time thinking about that dream I had. It had felt so real. I wish it was real.

Ten minutes later I sprinted into the Alden Vacker's office, where most of the collective was gathered. Mr. Forkle was seated in the tallest chair and everyone else was gathered around him. My eyes instantly went to Sophie, who briefly made eye contact with me.

"Nice of you to finally join us Keefe," said Mr. Forkle with a reproachful look.

"Uhh sorry I overslept," I mumbled, my attention caught by something else. Fitz had scooted his chair next to Sophie's and was now putting his arm around her. I felt my chest sink as I sat down next to Dex. I guess my dream had been just that. A dream. A dream that would probably never come true.
