Here's part 2. Comment on what you think of it and if you like the plot of this story! There will be one more part, it will just be kind of an extra add on thing.

"Sophie, I have something to tell you," Keefe said, not breaking eye contact with her.

I gulped, my stomach rolling around.

"I umm well I-" Keefe was cut off by a loud ringing. Sophie jumped up off the bed at the startling sound. Keefe swore and dug around in his pockets, eventually pulling out his imparter. He answered it and Fitz's face popped up on the screen.

"Hey Keefe, where are you?" Fitz says. He is in his PE clothes and looks to be in the locker room.

"Oh hey, I'm actually not coming today, I'm sick," Keefe responds.

"You okay?" asks Fitz.

"Yeah it's not a big deal, just a fever."

"Okay, well I guess I'll see you later. You still coming over tomorrow?"

"I'm planning to," replied Keefe.

"I gotta go, class is starting," said Fitz, looking over his shoulder.

"Okay, prepared to get your ass kicked at base quest tomorrow!"

"We'll see about that," said Fitz, rolling his eyes, before his face went dark on the screen. Once Fitz was gone there was an awkward moment of silence. Sophie was leaning up against the wall, fidgeting uncomfortable.

"So what did you want to tell me?" asked Sophie, not looking him in the eyes. Keefe paused for a moment.

"Oh it was nothing. Nothing important."

"Ummm okay," Sophie replied. More awkward silence.

"You should probably get some sleep," she said after a moment.

"Yeah. Okay. I guess so," Keefe said, lying down on the bed.

After a few minutes he was out cold, letting out little snores, that Sophie found adorable, though she would never admit it. He must have been exhausted to fall asleep so quickly, Sophie thought. She decided that while she was here she might as well get some work down. Pulling out an Elementalism book, Sophie plopped down in one of the healing center's chairs.

She was just starting to get into the section about bottling thunderstorms when she heard faint whimpers coming from across the room. The noise was coming from Keefe who was tossing and turning in the bed.

At first Sophie thought something was wrong, that he was hurt, but after going over to the bed she realized his eyes were closed and he was still asleep. He must be having a nightmare, she thought. Sophie wished there was something she could do, as Keefe continued to whimper, the crease between his eyebrows growing.

Suddenly she had an idea. Sophie grabbed Keefe's hand and tried to push positive emotions into him. She thought about all the things that brought her joy and inflicted it onto Keefe. Sophie wasn't sure if it would wake Keefe up or even work, but she couldn't just stand here watching him.

(I'm not sure if this would actually work, but let's just say it does)

After a moment Keefe's face relaxed and he went still. Sophie breathed out a sigh of relief and sat down on the edge of the bed. Keefe looked so calm just lying there. The light from the window illuminated his golden blonde hair. His eyes were closed, his long eyelashes resting on his cheeks.

Without thinking Sophie leaned down, brushing her lips against his forehead.

She quickly snapped back up, after realizing what she had just done. Oh god, I just kissed Keefe, Sophie thought, her mind reeling. She quickly checked to make sure he hadn't woken up, letting out a sigh of relief when she saw his eyes were still closed. Sophie abruptly stood up and walked to the other side of the room, her heart beating fast.

She had kissed Keefe.

She had kissed him.

It was only on the forehead, she told herself. It was an accident. How do you kiss someone by accident? Sophie's brain screamed at her. What was wrong with her? What kind of person goes around kissing boys while they sleep? Her breathing had gotten faster and her head was spinning, what if Keefe finds out? No, she told herself. No one will find out, Keefe was and is asleep and no one will ever know.

Sophie calmed down a bit, but still yanked some of her eyelashes out. After a moment she continued reading her book, trying to think about anything but Keefe. Her mind kept wandering back to how peaceful he had looked before she kissed him and how warm his skin felt against her lips.

He's just a friend, I don't like him like that, she told herself, but part of her knew it wasn't completely true.

After far too long Elwin came back. Keefe was still asleep, to Sophie's relief, and the sun was beginning to set.

"Hey Sophie, sorry to keep you here so long," Elwin whispered, as not to wake Keefe.

"No it's fine," Sophie said, which wasn't completely true. She was kind of annoyed at Elwin for being gone for so long. She had even considered leaving, but something kept her there. Almost as soon as Elwin arrived Sophie left, just wanting to get home, and forget about what had happened.
