Jay's body was now noodles, melting into the floor as a long sigh left his mouth. Rich finally came out of his hiding spot and plopped on the bed.

"Oh my god, she's so annoying" he said taking out his phone. Jay wasn't about to take his shit, he got up and took the phone from his hands looking him in the eyes.

"She is beautiful!" He said.

There were some mere seconds of silence until Rich sighed and replied: "Doesn't mean she isn't annoying. You haven't even met her"

"Ok... That's a good point... But she's also really pretty"

"Dude, you're not making any sense, sit down, shut up, let me deal with this" he said a bit pissed that his phone was taken from his hands. He grabbed the phone back and left, leaving his very high friend alone in the silent room. Voices were heard outside the room, but it was hard to understand what they were saying.

Jay looked around the room, bored as anyone can be. The sun was slowly setting, the light wasn't as intense as it was when he left his house. The room stinked so much, he didn't understand how Sam didn't leave earlier. That thought made him start thinking about Sam.

"Wait... Was this a good idea?" He asked himself. "Now she thinks I'm Rich, how do I go back from that? That is, if I even talk to her again. I want too, she's cute."

The door suddenly smashed open getting no reaction from Jay. Rich walked in and sat on the bed.

"I talked to my mom, apperantly Sam moved back here and lucky me, she left her phone number."

Jay spoke slowly, thinking of what words to use while talking: "Why did you hide from her?"

"I don't know, she's so annoying, I don't even want to see her face"

Jay closed his eyes a bit and then let his head fall: "You're so ruuuuuude." He pointed at the ceiling and spinned  his finger around a while. "She is an annoying cutie"

"Keep it in your pants man"

Rich got up and pulled his zombie friend up. He slapped his face gently and then looked at his half-closed red eyes. "How about we play some games, huh?"

The zombie boy smiled slowly and nodded. Rich pulled him and sat him down in front of the small TV with a Nintendo Switch connected to it. Both picked up the controllers and Rich started a game of Super Mario smash bros. This game was a trap, they would start playing just for the fun of it but 3 matches in they were already planning each other's deaths. Jay as Kirby and Rich as Link, each match would last at least 10 minutes.

Time flew by and before they knew it, Rich's mom was knocking repeatedly on his door screaming for him to go eat dinner. Rich screamed back to her while closing the game. He grabbed the friend's bag and held it for him while he tied his shoelaces. Normally that would take thirty seconds but in the state Jay was in he couldn't even make the first knot. Rich laughed at this while Jay struggled.

"This is too good" Rich just smiled looking down.

"Okay, shut up? Thanks."

He continued trying but the tips just escaped from his fingers everytime he moved them. He was genuinely having a hard time and that only made it more enjoyable for Rich.

"You're taking so long..."

"I know, I know!" Jay was now just shoving the shoelaces inside the shoe to avoid wasting more time, but even that was taking a while.

"I'm going to eat, wait here"

He put Jay's bag down on the bed and slapped him gently on the cheek giving him a small smile. He opened his bedroom door and left.

"He has to be kidding me..." Jay got up with only one sneaker on and got close to the door. He held on to the wall while putting his ear next to the key whole.

He listened carefully.

"Yeah, it's really good"

"I'm glad you like it honey. I was actually out of salt so I..." Rich's mom went on and on.

Jay let his body slide down the wall and sighed loudly. He was stuck on his friend's room until they were done eating dinner. He looked around the room bored as anyone can be. First idea was to go to Instagram but the letters on his phone's screen were beyond blurry. After a few failed attempts of typing his PornHub password he shut his phone and noticed the darkness around him. The street lights outside were on and the sky was pitch black with a few white dots. He lazily got up and headed to the window. Sitting down by the window frame he curled up to a ball, hugging his knees, and stared up at the sky.

He let his thoughts take control, slowly drifting away from reality and to a nice calming slumber. With his eyes closed, the cars that went by sounded like comets and people's steps like rain drops, giving the best rythmn to an imaginary melody. A small smile appeared on his face.

Suddenly the door burst open waking him up right away.

"You're still here?"

Rich turned on the light blinding Jay. He jumped to his bed and grabbed his phone, probably to check Instagram models. The blind confused boy in the corner of the room closed his eyes and got up slowly, holding on to the window.

"You left me here asshole..." He rubbed his eyes and opened them trying to get used to the light.

"I messaged you to leave ten minutes ago. Me and my mom left to buy some stuff."

Jay rolled his eyes and picked up his phone from the floor. After unlocking it and seeing five unread messages from Rich he picked up his bag aggressively.

"Is your mom still out there or can I leave?"

"She went to bed already, you can go"

"You're not even going to take me to the door?" Jay looked almost offended.

Rich looked away from his phone and gave him the look.

"Bye then" Jay opened the door ready to leave. Rich didn't even look away from his phone, he just poorly waved his hand around.

Walking down the street to the bus stop Jay couldn't stop thinking about Sam. It seemed almost impossible that his loser of a best friend actually had had a girlfriend, and even more, a cute girlfriend. Long straight hair that fell to the front hiding her ears behind it, her big eyes with a very innocent and caring look. She almost looked too nice. The more he tried to remember her face, the more he forgot.

"Did she have freckles?" He thought to himself.

His vision of her started changing as he added more and more details.

"No, clean face, brown eyes with a bit of green. She might have had make up on... Eye liner?"

The girl he was imagining wasn't even Sam anymore but who am I to stop a young teen from daydreaming. And as soon as he got home, he went straight to normal dreaming.
