Wyatt was getting ready to leave for class. Frank had showed up before his shift to run some errands with Steve. They talked in the kitchen a little as Wyatt fixed his curls in the mirror.
"You heard about Crystal's party this Saturday?" Frank asked.
"The what?"
"You know how she is about parties. She's throwing a get together. Just some friends, she told me to tell you."
"Nigga you don't even gotta tell me twice," Steve looked up from his cereal bowl.
Wyatt bit into an apple.
"I don't know, maybe."
"Nigga, we know." Frank pressed.
Wyatt turned to look at him, his eyebrows furrowed.
His heart rate shot up, his thoughts trailing back to all the shit he's been hiding."Steve told us. About the bathroom thing...with that girl from tinder," He laughed.
Wyatt let out a sigh of relief.
"That shit was crazy," Steve laughed.
"Why the fuck are you going around telling everyone?" Wyatt sighed.
"How the fuck couldn't I?" Steve couldn't keep the grin off his face.
"So...It's gonna be a bunch of girls, you know, take your pick. You need it." Frank interrupted.
"You know I'm not like that—,"
"Fine, we not forcing you or anything. But if you need a wingman I got you."
Wyatt rolled his eyes.
...
Wyatt got to class, only to notice the sign on the door—Class cancelled.
"Fuck, Tyler cancelled? he didn't even send out an email," Syd walked over.
"Shit. I could've gotten to work earlier," Wyatt groaned.
They decide to go to the cafeteria, where they'd meet up with Crystal.
They take a seat in an empty table.
Crystal walked in a few minutes later, slamming her backpack on the table.
"Fuck, everyone cancelling classes today."
"Yours too?" Wyatt asked. She nodded.
"Did Frank tell you about the party?" Crystal asked.
"Yeah he did. Now can we fucking drop it?" Wyatt rolled his eyes. He hated being the center of it all.
"Now you gotta tell me what happened," Syd interjected.
"We're trying to get Wyatt laid after his breakup so I'm throwing a little party this Saturday. All y'all invited."
"I'm in."
"I don't want any part of it." Wyatt looked at both of them.
"Just go and see what happens," Crystal nudged him.
"Ya'll...look," Syd looked up from the table, everyone's eyes following.
Alexa walked into the café in a revealing outfit, her body in full show. They couldn't take their eyes off of her.Although she always dressed rather exposed, today it was emphasized.
"Damn. If I wasn't taken already..." Syd eyed her.
"Definitely would go gay for her." Crystal laughed.
Wyatt looked away.
Alexa looked around for an empty table.
"Alexa!" Crystal waved her hand.
"The fuck are you doing," Wyatt nudged her.
"What? I like her."
"Shit, me too," Syd laughed.
Wyatt was visibly annoyed.
"Hey guys," she bit her lip, sitting in front of Crystal and next to Syd. "I have an audition later. Give me tips."
"So that's why you look all done up," Crystal smiled.
"You know I don't put in this much effort on the regular." Alexa opened up the bag of chips.
That was a definite lie.
She momentarily looked over at Wyatt.
"By the way, we need to practice our lines."
He looked up from his phone.
"We'll just improvise."
"Also why the fuck were you so mad that day? I had to practice my lines with Tyler. He was pissed."
"I'm sure he was."
"The fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"Forget it." Wyatt sighed, getting up, "I'm gonna get to work, I'll see you there later," he eyed crystal.
"You don't go in until later though," Crystal replied.
"Martha said I could come in earlier and cover for Janet."
"Just stay for a little."
"Yeah, stay," Alexa mocked.
"Whatever," Wyatt left.
He ignored Syd and Crystal's calls.
