*Tony's POV*

Peter walked into the room with a blanket over his body.

"Uh, Peter, what are you doing with that blanket?" I asked my son.

"I've decided to live as a bed because I know this blanket will never hurt me," Peter explained. His logic was absolutely impeccable, except for the fact that he was currently walking straight towards a table.

"Ow, BLANKET!" Peter yelled after falling face first onto the table. Good times. Suddenly, I heard four beeps over the comm system. That meant a mission.

"YES!" Peter yelled, trying to untangle himself from the blanket and failing miserably. I gently eased the blanket off him and shook my head.

"Get your suit on, hurry up," I muttered, and the excited teen reached into his pocket and grabbed his toy spider, placing it on his chest where it promptly expanded into his suit.

"LET'SGOLET'SGOLET'SGO," Peter chanted while running out of the room and opening a window. I smiled and called my suit, jumping out of the window right after Peter.

*After Cap's debrief on the villain*

"COME ON COME ON COME ON," Peter yelled again, urging me to hurry up and doing a backflip just to show how fast he was going.

"I swear, Peter, you're the only one who could be excited about facing a villain who is wearing a unicorn onesie," I groaned. Peter laughed and I heard Clint grunt over the comm.

"The weird ones are the best, dad, I though you would have known that by now," Peter chirped. Natasha yelled and grunted, she had engaged battle.

"Aunt Nat, you should have waited, we could have been there in like 2 minutes and this is why I told dad to hurry up and get to pink fluffy unicorn before you attack, I've told dad so many times and he still won't listen to me, tell him, Aunt Nat, tell him that he's a slowpoke sloth, please would you and Aunt Nat can you-"

"Shut up Peter," Aunt Nat grunted.

"I'll take that as a sure," Peter grinned and I sped up, reaching Natasha a few moments later. She was locked in an arm wrestle with pink fluffy unicorn and I couldn't interfere without the risk of hurting her. I saw something red and black whiz past me out of the corner of my eye and shook my head, "Don't you even dare Peter-"

"YOU LEFT ME BEHIND" Peter whimpered, barrelling into the villain. That was when I got a good look at his face. The hood of the onesie was concealing his bald head, and the guy had a scar over his left eye. It reminded me of someone... Suddenly, I realised. It was the man who had taken Peter those many months ago and tried to torture him to get my suit.

"GET OUT OF THERE" I yelled, "CAPSICLE, ITS THE GUYS WHO TRIED TO GET HIM EARLIER, HURRY UP, I CAN'T GO IN WITHOUT HURTING NAT"

"I'm here tony," Capsicle said calmly, running to the villain and locking his arms behind his back. I saw the flash of something sharp and metal jab Capsicle and he gasped, his body slowly becoming rigid. Pink fluffy unicorn attempted to stab Peter, but the vibranium suit caused the needle to bend in half. Thank god for Shuri. I took this time to interfere and paralysed the man with the sound waves I had improved since the incident with Obadiah. I sighed and Peter jumped on the man, punching him about 10 times before I told him to stop. The unicorn's face was bloody and mangled, and I found satisfaction in the revenge.

"That's what you get when you kidnap my son," I spat, just as the police arrived. Peter sighed and began swinging back to the Tower, but his silence didn't go unnoticed. He swung through the kitchen window and let his suit become compact and rest on his chest before slumping onto the sofa and sighing. I followed, letting my suit go back to my lab.

"Hey, what's going on, kiddo?" I asked my unusually quiet son.

"It's just... I feel like I lost control. I was just so mad at him that - I couldn't stop myself from hurting him, I just wanted to hurt him for what he did to me," He blurted.

"I'm not sure if it was just him. I feel like you were venting all the things that you're angry about. You're too kind, Peter, you're too generous. If I were you, I'd have to vent my anger like that every day. I have no idea how you kept it bottled up so long, and you shouldn't. Peter, you can acknowledge your feelings once in a while. You aren't considering what you feel, Peter," I said gently. Peter looked up and thought for a moment, before smiling a crooked smile and nodding. He jumped up and ran to his lab, undoubtedly to tinker while pondering this. I smiled sadly and followed him. A boy as innocent as Peter should never have to face horrors like those, but Peter wasn't innocent- he could never be. He was my son, and fame and money come with a price. A dangerous, gory, gruesome price. That Peter was currently paying. But he is Spiderman, I told myself, trying to convince my conscience that he was safe, and his mother had made him so. His kindness to the world would pay off in the end, and I would make sure of it.
