On Nov. 18, a friend named Claudia Glesinger called Marla on the phone, she said that one of her fans, Prudie Bernt has passed away at age 90. Claudia's sister Amy has been injured of the car accident in 2016 and was paralyzed, and other sister Rosie was also with Claudia.
Marla known Prudie since 1969 while touring with her brothers at the Nebraska borderline. On June 1, 1988, Prudie called Marla while she was in San Francisco. Prudie said that her brother Delbert got sick and other brother Theron died while Marla was a baby (her aunt died a month after him). One time Marla took Tom Rathman to get on the plane to visit his home state. One day later, Tom and Marla went to see Prudie and her husband John (who died in 1998) in Spalding. Prudie said that her two sisters lived in Washington and one brother lives in Alabama. While traveling to Grand Island, Tom's hometown, Prudie visit her brothers Melvin and Delbert Prickett. Delbert said that Marla was an inspirational. One day later, they headed back to San Francisco. The next day, Delbert called Marla to tell her a happy 30th birthday. Three days later, Delbert passed away.
