"No Zoya, shout at me and say anything you want to say but I'm not leaving you. Not today!"
Continued...Zoya leaned against the door at slow pace and slid until she felt the ground beneath. As she covered her mouth with her hand, tears started blurring her vision. A single tear rolled down her warm cheek as Zoya's attention went back to the person who had caused her sudden breakdown. Was it really Aditya she saw? What is he doing here? What had he come to ruin now after putting her in the biggest betrayal of her life? What does he want to destroy now?
Aditya is that one person Zoya tried forgetting with so much difficulty over the past few years, who had dominated her senses in every possible way and at that one moment, he was standing on the other side of the door and Zoya couldn't help but lament in pain. She let her hands touch the cold floor as she sobbed silently. She took a deep breath as she wanted a moment for herself to reflect upon what had happened. As she opened the door with a feeling rather unexplainable, she met with her dreaded past, Aditya Hooda.
Zoya couldn't believe that he is the same guy who claimed to be a loyal friend, who had told her that he would meet her next morning at their University after the Designer's exhibition but had left her alone with no clue of his whereabouts. Was everything a huge façade using which Aditya had made mockery of her existence by playing with her feelings? How many times he must have lied to her shamelessly? Being the kind hearted and idiotic person she is she must have accepted his fibs as the truth.
If her heart has accepted that Aditya Hooda is no one to her, he holds no importance for her now why did it pain in her heart? He had broken her completely that day right? Zoya had promised to herself that she would never trust any person thereafter in her life but how is it possible even now, seeing Aditya just standing in front of her, asking her how is she doing shattered her in to a million pieces? He still had that power over her senses, her mind?
This doesn't look good! Definitely not good, Zoya pondered over her myriad thoughts about her ex best friend. It had taken more than months for her to get over the loss of Aditya from her life and years to at least give herself a chance to move on from the past but how is she going to cope up with her life after facing him again at such an unexpected situation?
How on earth did Aditya figure out that I'm still staying at my old house? Who told him about my whereabouts? As she started realizing, Zoya wiped away the tears with the back of her hand and took a deep breath sniffling. She could still sense his presence, completely soaked in rain waiting for her to open the door fro him to enter. She closed her eyes firmly as she recollected a memory from their past.
"Aditya, you are super bad! I hate you..", Zoya screamed as she left the garden and walked inside her house, stomping her feet on the ground.
"Are you serious? It's no big deal Zoya! And most importantly, is super bad even a word? I had no clue!", Aditya asked in a mocking voice at which Zoya turned around huffing and showed her tongue at him, soon racing towards her room upstairs.
"Beta, stop this stupid fight of yours. Aditya was just pulling your leg and you know him better than anyone else right?"
Followed Roshnaq, Zoya's mother's voice through the front door. She knew about Aditya and Zoya's bond more than anyone else.
"No ammi, Aditya said that I'm still a kid because I love gummy bears. Who dislikes gummy bears in this world? No one! He didn't only make fun of me but also told our friends in the art class that I'm a big baby! They were laughing at me because of him. Unless Aditya apologizes to me understanding that he made a mistake, I'm not going to back off. I don't want to talk to him or see his face.."
