"Z..Zoya? Finally... finally you are here! See, I h.. had to wait till you opened this damn thing! I also decided no.. no matter what happens with me, whether I go from here dead or alive, I had to talk to you..."

He said stuttering with a slight smile, his eyes closing and opening time to time and seconds after that, he fell on to the ground unconscious with his hands falling on to either sides of his body.

"Aditya!!!"

Continued...

Everything became fuzzy for Aditya at once. He realized his lips trembling and body shaking uneasily with coldness or was it his consciousness faltering? The last time he remembered Zoya had opened the door to come and see his state as he called out for her as loud as possible when he heard something dropping to the floor from inside. His heartbeats pounded loudly as she held eye contact with him for a while, tension written all over her face and worried lines on her forehead and then feeling his body draining away until finally all was black.

"Ad.. Aditya? Are you alright? Wait.. wait a second!"

He heard her voice, Zoya's harmonious voice which could soothe his nerves. Aditya's brain stuttered for a few seconds and he jerked in to complete consciousness as he felt a cold glass touching his hand. As he slowly opened his eyelids, Aditya was invited to a dark view with no lights. He could hear the heavy rainfall still dripping but there was no electricity. As he looked at his hand, he saw someone handing over a glass of water to him.

When Aditya raised his eyes softly, his met with Zoya's frightened and glistening one's which screamed protectiveness if he hasn't guessed it wrong. She was staring at him as if she was seeing him for the first time. She was not the prettiest woman he has ever set his eyes on but Zoya was beautiful, his kind of beautiful.

"Aditya.. um.. don't panic. You fainted suddenly and I.. I brought you here. Have this and let me make something for you to eat.."

Zoya coaxed in a pleading tone contrasting to her loud and painful commanding voice from before and Aditya slowly adjusted himself on the sofa and touched the glass, where Zoya had been grasping it from and realizing that he had almost touched her fingers, she immediately let go of the glass. Looking in to his eyes for a while with surprise etched on her face, Zoya moved towards the pantry. She quickly lit up another candle and placed it from where it would be helpful for her to see the view around the kitchen.

As Zoya started boiling water, Aditya gulped down the water and placed the glass on the coffee table in front of him as he moved his gaze towards Zoya. She seemed completely engaged in cooking as she was seen tearing a big packet of some food. Aditya rose to his feet and then only he noticed that Zoya had removed his Coat and kept it aside. His heart stuttered at the small notion as irrespective of whatever their equation is with one another, Zoya had been kind enough and brought him inside her house. She did care for him and his health.

As Aditya kept gawking at Zoya in awe and proceeded towards the pantry, she heard his footsteps and looked up to see Aditya. He could see her turning nervous as at once the knife that was placed at the edge of the table dropped on to the floor with her shaking hands. She bent down soon and picked the knife. As Aditya neared her she immediately stopped him by holding her hand in front.

"Aditya, you are completely drenched. You might catch a cold if you stayed in these clothes for a long time. You need to change but I.."

"Don't worry, I have my bag outside. I'll bring it.."

As Aditya said with a slight smile Zoya could feel her cheeks turning red. She looked here and there tensed. Why has Aditya brought his bag of clothes to my house? What had he been thinking when he came here? She was perturbed about his actions. As Aditya turned around to walk outside, Zoya was fast with her steps as she was right in front of him, holding an umbrella towards him in not time which made Aditya take a step back in surprise.
