A New World (TMNT meets Sonic crossover)

Chapter 5: Ambush

Leo, Tails, and Sonic all headed to Sonic's house closing the door behind themselves while the blue masked turtle glanced around his surroundings spotting a set of stairs to his left, a bookshelf to his right next to where the kitchen leads, and directly in front of him was the TV sitting on a TV desk and a coffee table standing on a green round rug while the couch was in front of the coffee table the coloring of the couch being the same green as the rug completed with a lighter shade of green and blue pillows as Leo headed towards the couch looking around in fascination as Sonic turned around to him seeing the blue masked turtle sitting down on the couch the blue hedgehog surpassing a small smile on his face.

"You like it here don't you Leo?" Sonic asked him.

"Been a little while since I've been inside an actual house, the last one I remember staying in is one of my friend's farmhouse outside the borders of our home when an alien invasion happened," Leo replied to him.

"Alien invasion?" Tails asked his jaw almost hung open at hearing that aliens do exist.

"It's a long story, but to make it short our nemesis called Shredder allied with the aliens to help them take over the entire city," Leo explained to him. "When I was in battle with Shredder, he kinda defeated me and wounded me badly to the point my leg was fractured, but as soon as I was healed we returned to the city and took them down." He said while putting his hand on his right leg glancing down at the floor while memories flooded through his mind.

'So Leo was fractured by this Shredder guy? Sounds like a dark thing to do other than Eggman wanting me dead.' Sonic thought to himself.

"How long ago was that?" Tails asked curiously.

"Maybe three years ago, we've pretty much had a lot of adventures," Leo replied to him.

"Me and my friends have had a lot of adventures too, heck I've been dealing with Eggman since I was fifteen and even now he still causes trouble now and then," Sonic said to Leo.

"Now my brothers and I are in a whole new world and I failed at keeping them from being harmed by Shadow," Leo said sadly putting his hand on his face letting out a heavy sigh.

"It's not your fault if anything Shadow can just be a jerk sometimes, one day he'll be our ally then the next he treats us like we did something wrong," Sonic said to him.

"And you guys tolerate it even though he might finish you off one day?" Leo asked while glancing up at the blue speedster.

"I've known him for a while so Shadow's not the type to drop dead on anyone, if there's one person who would do that it's Eggman," Sonic answered.

"We should probably go to bed now Sonic, it's nearly seven and we don't wanna wake up late tomorrow." Tails spoke up while he yawned widely.

"I agree with him, if Eggman tries anything tomorrow we have to be prepared for whatever he might do," Leo said.

"Alright then, goodnight Leo," Sonic replied while he and Tails headed upstairs to their bedrooms.

"Night," Leo replied while lying down on the couch.

Sonic headed inside his bedroom groaning in sleepiness a bit before he kicked his sneakers off his feet and lied down on the bed pulling the covers over his shoulder letting his mind wander off into a deep sleep.

The next morning came and Sonic woke up groaning a bit in sleepiness standing up from his bed putting his sneakers on and headed downstairs inside the kitchen where Leo and Tails were talking as Tails put a set of two plates in the sink along with forks and knives and the blue hedgehog headed inside opening up the fridge getting out things he needed to make himself some chili dogs.
