When she received the invite to the exclusive dexholders costume party, her heart nearly burst with excitement. Since then, she has been digging through her entire wardrobe, searching for the perfect dress. And after days of searching, she finds it. She pulls on a cerulean blue dress with a beautiful dappled embroidery wave running across the chest and gazes at herself in her mirror. Platinum smiles to herself and hops around a bit.
A couple of days later, the party is held. Everybody is there, and the festivities have already started. Pearl taps his foot on the ground, anxiously waiting for Platinum's arrival.
"Where is she?" He mutters under his breath. As if summoned by his words, a huge black limousine appears around a corner and stops right before the arched entrance. The back door opens, revealing a breathtaking Platinum in a gorgeous dress. The noises of the party die down as each dexholder notices the newest arrival and cuts off their conversation. Platinum walks through the entrance and bows.
"I am honored to be here. Thank you for inviting me." Pearl facepalms. Diamond walks up to him.
"What's going o-"Diamond chokes on his own words when he spots Platinum. "Is t-that P-P-Platinum??!!"
Pearl nods and puts his finger to his lips. The room is still quiet, and nobody wants to break the tension.
Finally, Crystal speaks up. "Um, hello! My name is Crystal. I, um, really like your costume! You really pull off that "princess look.""
Platinum stares back. "What do you mean? This dress is worth $1,000,000 and was sent to me by the finest boutique in the Sinnoh Region! It is no costume!"
Her words are greeted with another dead silence.
Somewhere in the back, Sun spits out his juice. "DID SOMEBODY SAY $1,000,000???!!!"
Pearl sighs and facepalms again. "I should've known it would turn out like this."
