A Totally Accurate Retelling of Pokespe

The Shining Beauty and The Girl of the Viridian Forest Pt 1

A radiant sun shines over the Viridian Forest, painting the trees with yellows and greens. A small figure sleeps silently under a tree, a leaf pattern dappling her cheeks from the bower above. That figure is Yellow, also known as Amarillo Del Bosque Verde and The Girl of the Viridian Forest. She is a compassionate and spirited girl that helped fight against the rise of Team Rocket and other evil teams. However, while the other Kanto Dexholders were showered with praise, Yellow's pivotal role was not recognized by many people. She prefers it this way, as she is not a girl meant to be in the spotlight. 

However...

--Nimbasa City--

A slender figure leans back in a chair, twiddling with a picture. 

"Such fine young Trainers, with such potential," the figure giggles. "Red is known world-wide and he would bring loads of business. Green is also well-known and is strikingly handsome. Blue has quite an attractive face and body, she's probably the best candidate." The figure peers at the final person in the picture. "Yellow. Although she is endearingly cute, she is quite short and boyish. I'm not liking any of my choices." The figure twirls the picture around her fingers. "It's also a shame that the talent agency couldn't provide human models." 

"Wait." The figure leans forward and slaps the picture onto a table. "This short one, I see more potential. She could fit many different styles and colors the best, and her face is like a doll, which makes it perfect for modifying." The figure grins. "I've found the one." 

--- 

--somewhere in Alola--

"Alright guys, let's celebrate!!" Sun screeches. "YAHOOOOO!" 

Moon sighs in exasperation. 

Lillie giggles. "Come on, Moon. It's your birthday! Why don't you have a little fun at the New Year's festival with us to celebrate?" 

Moon shakes her head. "I'm sorry, I have to decline your offer. I have some work that I have to finish today. I'll join in festivities tomorrow." 

Lillie smiles sadly. "Okay then." 

Sun and Hau look up from their malasadas. "WAIT!" Sun screeches. "WE HAVE TO GIVE HER THE PRESENT FIRST! DON'T LEAAAAVE!" 

Moon picks up a pyukumuku resting on the beach and chucks it at Sun. "Calm down! I'm not leaving yet." 

Sun scrambles behind a stand and returns with a large box in his hands. He carefully hands it to Moon. 

Mallow gestures for everybody to come over. "Gather round' guys! Moon's opening her present!" Sun, Hau, Lillie, Gladion, Acerola, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, Illima, and Mina all crowd around Moon. Moon ruthlessly rips the wrapping paper open and pulls open the box. She gasps. 

The box is full of colorful flowers and berries. Not just any flowers and berries. Moon automatically recognizes each flower and berry as rare and highly in demand. 

She looks up at the group. "How did you find this?" 

Mallow grins. "It took a couple of deals and a little foraging to work out. Everybody chipped in." 

Moon feels heat rising to her cheeks. Everybody worked so hard to get me a present that would be useful to me. I-I don't know what to say. 

Sun pats her on the back. "Happy birthday, Ms. Package Girl!" 

Moon smiles, and pats him back.

--Viridian City--

Yellow is riding Dody through the streets, traveling towards the Post Office. Yellow pats Dody. "Red told me that somebody from Unova wants to contact me. I hope there isn't any more trouble with saving the world or something." 

Dody squawks in agreement.

"Hello, may I check my mailbox?" 

"Of course! Here is all of your current mail." 

Yellow scans the stack of letters. Pokémon Daycare, Farm Refurnish, -aah! Here it is!  Yellow holds the letter up. "From Nimbasa City." 

Yellow exits the post office, letter in hand. She puts Dody back into its pokeball and sits in the grass. Carefully, she opens the seal and empties the letter of its contents. A small card falls into her lap. She picks it up and reads, "Dear Yellow, how have I waited for this day to come! My name is Elesa, and I am a media star and model in the Unova region. I have contacted you with urgent news and a business deal. I want you (yes, YOU) to come and model for our next shoot! You will be able to promote our products, your pokedexes, and earn your own reputation! In return, I will give you an ample sum of money and any costumes you would like to keep. All transportation fees and housing will be on me. The shoot is two days from now at Nimbasa City Gym. I hope to see you there. 

Signed, Elesa." 

Yellow stares blankly at the card, jaw agape. She rubs her eyes and reads the card again. A sudden realization rises in her stomach. 

"N-No way....why me?" Yellow desperately asks, grasping her head. "There's no way I can do this! Red will see me all dressed up, I'll be in front of lots of people, and I probably don't have a model physique anyways! Argh, this is so sudden, my head hurts..." 

Yellow leans back and lets ChuChu out of her pokeball. "ChuChu, what should I do? Should I decline her offer? Or should I travel to a new region for a stranger's photo shoot?" 

ChuChu stares back. Both of them are lost in thought for a little while. 

Finally, Yellow stands up. "It sounds like Elesa needs somebody as a model. I have no idea why she would choose me, but I want to help her. Also, Blue would really appreciate if I brought some clothes back for her." 

Yellow straightens her sun hat. "I'll do it."
