Lapis Lazuli X Fem Half Gem Reader

A Nightmare or a Message?

You woke up in an empty hammock. The barn was trashed. You stood and looked around. No one was there.

Lapis wasn't in sight. Neither was Peridot. You stepped to the exit of the barn.

Your breath hitched. The ground outside was a light gray color. Craters line the ground. All different shapes and sizes.

Was it the moon?

In front of you stood a giant tower. You walked out of the barn and towards the building outside.

You walked in. A large spiraled stair case crawled up the sides of the tower.

You walked up one step at a time. There was a room. A crystal ball stood in the center.

You walked to it. You touched it.

"Why does it hurt so much?" You heard a slight whimper behind you.

You turned to see Lapis standing behind you.  She clenched her fists and proceeded forward. She went straight through you.

She touched the crystal ball and the world around her became... Earth.

You were sitting at the water. Tear streaks staining your cheeks. Lapis was right beside you. She sat down and spoke to you.

"You're okay Y/N. I'm sorry I'm not strong enough to stay by your side. I just can't face them. I can never face them again."

She began to cry loudly. Her sobs echoed through the room. The picture of Earth disappeared and you sat beside Lapis.

You went to place your hand on her shoulder, but your hand went straight through her.

Lapis seemed to turn to you. She seemed to lock eyes with you. More tears built in her eyes.

"I'm sorry I'm not strong enough Y/N. I'm sorry I can't protect you."

Suddenly you were back in Earth at the beach. A Sapphire and a Ruby were getting married? It was happy. You were in a dress.... The dress was a blue to purple ombre. A blue bow with purple glitter wrapped securely around your waist.

It was happy but you felt sad. You looked around and noticed every gem was here except Lapis.

Was she on the moon still? Or perhaps she was just at the barn.... But wasn't that on the moon at the moment.

You pinched the bridge of your nose as stress and confusion began to consume you.

Suddenly two giant flying hands cane down from the sky. From space. One was blue, the other was yellow. They landed and two giant gems stepped off. One was blue and one was yellow.

You didn't know who they were. You didn't know where they came from. All you knew is that they brought fear to you and every gem around you.

The two turn to you and your vision becomes blurred before going black.

You sat up quickly and fell straight out of the empty hammock you were on.

You got up quickly and saw Peridot looking at you, concerned.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Who me? Yeah! I'm fine! Good! Great even!" Sweat dropped down your face as you looked around frantically.

"Lapis is outside playing with Pumpkin if you are curious." Peridot said knowing all too well you were searching for her.

You laughed nervously and went outside quickly. You found Lapis playing with the living Pumpkin.

She saw you and immediately knew something was wrong.

"Are you okay?" She asked, not wanting to push too much, but still letting you know she was genuinely concerned.

"I just had a strange, perhaps bad dream." You shrugged. "it's nothing too big."

"What was it about?"

"I'm not even sure."

Lapis cocked a brow. "Well tell me about it."

"Well I started off on the moon, I am assuming. But I was in the barn still. There was a tower and I went inside of it. I found a crystal ball like thing and you were there. You were watching over Earth and you were sad. You said you were sorry. That you weren't strong enough to stay. Then I was back on the beach. At a wedding I believe. I Sapphire and a Ruby were getting married. I'ma assume that would be Garnet right? They create her. Anyway, it was happy there but I felt sad and when I looked around, you weren't there. I thought that you must be on the moon. Then there were two giant arm ships. And two giant gems stepped off of them."

Lapis was silent. You looked over at her and saw the horrified expression on her face.

"The diamonds..." She whimpered.

You went to reach for her hand but she stood up and quickly made her way away from you. Away from the barn.

You didn't know what to do, so you just stood there, dumbfounded.
