You awoke to the rays of the sun poking into the barn and washing over you like a waterfall.
You felt a comforting pressure on your back and smiled as you recalled last night. The beautiful blue gem had actually happily accepted your request.
A strong blush once again made its way to your cheeks.
"You know Steven and Connie aren't wrong. You two look oddly adorable together." You turn your head slightly to put the green gem in your sight.
"Thanks." You said shyly as you allowed a smile to form on your lips.
Peridot smiled slightly and rolled her eyes. "You should come with me and Lapis to the Temple today. I'm sure everyone would be glad to see you again."
"That sounds nice." You said as you mindlessly grabbed Lapis's hand which was draped over you. You stroked the blue gems smooth skin.
Peridot raised her brow at the small action of yours. "You seem awfully attached to Lazuli." Peri spoke with a knowing look.
"I didn't think gems understood emotions like this. Well.... I mean other gems....." Your eyes saddened as you suddenly felt guilty. You felt rude for what you said.
Peridot chuckled softly. "Do not sorry about what you said. I took no offense from it. I learned some things about 'love' from Steven. But I've also watched plenty of Camp Pinning Heart." Peridot said with a small reassuring smile.
You blinked a few times at the mention of 'Camp Pinning Heart.' You had never heard of such a show or movie.
The look of confusion that crossed your face didn't go unnoticed by the small green gem.
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT CAMP PINNING HEART IS DO YOU?!" Peridot said almost angrily.
"Shut up Peridot." You heard Lapis growl against your neck.
"Hey look who's awake." Peridot smirked.
Lapis growled in annoyance.
"Shouldn't you tell your girlfriend good morning?" Peridot asked with a devious smirk and a wiggle of her eye brows.
You blushed darkly.
"Good morning Y/N" Lapis spoke.
Your blush darkened as Peridot broke into a fit of laughter and cheered, "You didn't Deny it."
Lapis shot up quickly surprising you and causing you to fall out of the Hammock.
"I- She's not my girlfriend and I- I don't even like her that way." Lapis spoke seriously even with the slight stutter. She was obviously telling the truth and just very flustered which caused the stutter.
A pang hit your heart at that. Of course no one as beautiful and brilliant as the blue gem would like you. No one at any of your schools ever liked you like that, what made you think she would. A female gem that would have everything if she entered any school.
You were glad at that moment you had cried your eyes out the day before because your eyes burned with the want to leak tears. You sighed sadly, luckily neither gem hearing you.
You stood up and dusted yourself off. "So you said something about going to the Temple, Peridot?" You put on the best smile you could no matter how fake it was.
Peridot seemed to see the sadness but didn't want to point anything out so she smiled brightly. "Right let's be on our way."
Peridot begins out of the barn you following close behind.
Once you reached the warp pad you felt odd. You looked behind you to see Lapis silently debating to continue up the hill to the warp pad or back to the barn.
