Chapter 26

Azalea and Wren were standing in front of Amber's grave, mourning about all the losses. They were talking to her like as if she was never gone.

Vile, Ashley, Alden, Calla, Jen, Violet, Mika, Jack and May who were all coming to see Amber's graved are surprised to find those two over there.

"Oh my god! We thought we lost you guys forever!" They said as they all hugged them

"Why?" Azalea asked

"Because you didn't came back when those portals opened and we lost communication with you when that ritual started." Vile said

"It's so good to see you guys!" They said as they all were brimming with joy.

"Same here. We were planning on meeting you guys but first we had to come here." Wren said as they all looked at Amber's grave. Ashley puts the bouquet of flowers she's holding on Amber's grave and then near Snow's gravestone. They all looked at each other and smiled. It wasn't a happy smile. It was a smile that hid sadness. Sadness over the lost of a near and dear one.

"So umm....where to?" Alden asked as they all knew that since Amber was not here they could not go to her apartment anymore.

"Umm wanna come to my house? Grandpa Mark is also there." Azalea asked

"Oh yeah...that's the second most place we guys hung out a lot." Calla said

"So let's go there.." Mika said

As they all went to Azalea's house and were all sitting around talking about various things going on and all about the old and new memories.

"Let's have a drink..." Jack said

"Great idea! Let me go get glasses." Azalea said as she went and got ten glasses. As she hands out each glass to everyone, she realised she had subconsciously brought one extra glass for Amber. She looks at the glass and then decides to put it back when Jen takes the glass and puts it in the centre.
Violet then pours drink in it.

"For Amber." She said

They all smiled slightly as they then raised their glass for a drink.

"Hey umm so....my dad says we need to choose someone to replace Amber. I know it's quite early but he says we do need someone. And the council has decided to choose someone from us. Although they gave the choice to us." Violet said

"Oh...." Azalea said

"And...we were talking and we have decided that we want Wren to be that guy." Vile said as they all look at Wren

"No." He replied instantly

"What? Why?" Calla said

"Listen guys, thank you. But I'm sorry. I can't do that. I've already got so much to do. I'm gonna be in the council along with being the head of the army and training them..." Wren said

"But you can still do this, right? It's not that much work." May said

"I'm so sorry guys but I just can't see myself at her place. And if it helps, I've got a new thing to deal with at hand." He said as he showed them the locket

"What's that?" Jack asked as Wren and Azalea explained them everything

"Oh wow. I didn't get what you guys said but good for you man!" Alden said

"Seriously?" Calla said as she looked at Alden who shrugged in return

"Thanks I guess?" Wren replied

"Well what does a chief do?" Mika asked

"I have no clue." Wren replied as he shrugged

"Hey I've been wondering for a while but why have you tied a rope around your finger?" May asked as she pointed at Azalea's finger
