A few weeks had gone by since the whole events. The people who migrated to Euphoria were given accommodations along with opportunities to start a business, get a job and go to school. They had all settled in a place which was in the centre from the royal city, business town and Ataraxy. An ideal location for anyone to live with. It wasn't that much developed and was a country side but still it was one of the most beautiful places in Euphoria to live. Euphoria's population had now become 300,000.
After talking with the council, the king and everyone else decided to name this place as Adalinda due to the place being occupied by Adalindian families. There were in total 60 Adalindian families in all of Euphoria but the rest of them who didn't migrate were already living here in their respective places. When the migrated ones settled in this place, the rest of the 15 families also shifted here, saying that us Adalindians stick together.
The people who migrated from Utopia or Melancholia, they all settled in other places and were happy with their situation.
Wren was named as the head of this town of Adalinda since he resigned as the head of Ataraxy and gave it to Mika who was now in charge of it.
Even though it had been two days since he was assigned as the head, he still hadn't gone and met the people over there. He was named as the head because Hunter had made him the chief of Adalinda.
After a few days of reading Hunter's journal, he had finally decided to go to the town of Adalinda, to see how things were going and how the people were doing. He had read in this journal that every friday night they hold their tribal meeting.
So on the morning of the upcoming Friday, he got ready. He changed his clothes, grabbed his bag. He wore the locket that Hunter gave him and puts the journal in his bag. As he opens the door he sees Azalea standing there. Her hand was reaching for the doorbell.
"Oh hi!" She said excitedly
"Hey! This is a surprise." He said as he locked the door
"Well you did say you were planning on going to the town of Adalinda today right?" She said as they both walked down the stairs
"Yep. I'm headed over there now." He replied as he got near to his car and unlocked it
"Great! I'm just in time." Azalea said as she got in the car and sat in the passenger seat
"What are you doing?" Wren said as he sat in the driver's seat
"I'm coming with you. For support. Well mostly support. I'm also curious about those people!" Azalea said
"You don't have to come...." Wren said
"I sure do! Now come on, are you starting the car or not?" Azalea asked
"Yeah yeah." Wren replied as he started his car.
The town of Adalinda was an hour and a half drive from Ataraxy.
As they got there, Wren and Azalea decided to stroll in the streets and see how everyone was doing. Most of the people were renovating or fixing their houses or building something new. In the market place malls and shops were also being constructed.
"Woah....they're advancing pretty quick." Azalea said
"Yeah. The King and the rest of the councilmen are helping a lot!" Wren replied
"So when are you going to start assuming your duties?" Azalea asked
"I don't know...I have started doing all the work behind the scenes. Like I signed a contract with the royal city for trade, which will helps us a great deal to develop more quickly." Wren replied
"That's great. Then what's the problem?" Azalea asked
"It's just that...I don't know if these people will even accept me as their chief or head you know. They don't know me. Only I recently found out about who I am." Wren replied
"You don't even know these people and you're worried about whether they like you or not?" Azalea said as Wren shrugged
"Well you know, I think it's great that you're caring about these people. And you know what, don't worry about what they will think because I'm pretty sure they'll love you. I mean, what's not to love, right?" Azalea said as she grinned
"Thanks." Wren replied as he looked around. A few guys and even girls were going into this small house.
"Those guys are all going into that house.." Azalea said
"That's the meeting place then..." Wren said
"Come on, Let's go!" Azalea said as she grabbed his hand and they went inside.
As soon as they entered the house, the people who were inside it suddenly went quiet as they saw Wren. They were all staring at them as there was this weird quietness in the room.
"Why has everyone gone quiet? Wren, say something." Azalea whispered to Wren
"Like what?" Wren whispered back
"Introduce yourself." Azalea whispered
"Hi...I am..." Wren was about to introduce himself when an old lady interrupts him. She looked like she was 80-90 years old.
"You're Wren! Our chief!" The lady said excitedly as everyone in the room started whispering and murmuring to each other
"Yes. I am Wren. And this is my fiancé, Azalea." Wren said as he introduced himself and Azalea
"Hello! Nice to meet you all......although I'm not sure if I should be here or not.....only Adalindians can come here right? Maybe I should go..." Azalea said
"No, stay. You're welcome here." A middle age man said politely
"So, None of you here know me personally. As I don't know about you guys as well. It was just until recently that I met Hunter and he gave me his journal and this locket. Now I may not know much about this tribe, but I do know that you all left your lives that you had built and shifted here just to follow your leader. I'm sorry that Hunter isn't here but he entrusted you guys to me, so if you'll let me, I'll take care of you guys. I'll support and help you and I'll try to be a good chief...." Wren said whatever came into his mind
"That necklace you wear....it was carved from one of the dragon's tooth that was killed and the crystal of Adalinda was used in it. Only a true dragon tribe person can wear this. You don't have to do anything. We trust you. Hunter was a good boy. Although he was possessed by evil, he was still a good caring boy from heart. He was the one who told us all about your father and you to us. He told us how you were at the top of your class and all your achievements. He wanted to keep track of you guys because you were his real family. The reason he never contacted you guys that much was because he was being possessed by darkness and he knew that if he were to be in contact with your family, he would find light and would forget about his mission. We are all sad that he isn't here with us, but he entrusted us to you, so we are under your command." The old woman said as she bowed her head lightly
"Yes. That is true. Us Adalindians stick together. We will follow you."
They heard one guy said as everyone started saying the same things and slowly by slowly started bowing their heads lightly.
Wren was tongue-tied, he couldn't find the right words to speak.
"Hey brat, I still don't trust you though...but I will give you a chance..." One old man said as he was smoking a cigar
Wren smiled and said, "Thank you! I will not let you guys down!"
