Chapter 9 - Los Chicos
Dani's POV-
Oh my god.
Oh my freaking god.
My hand reached out to Andrea's, not believing what I was seeing. She pinched my hand and I jumped. Oh my god this is real. I probably looked like an idiot. I was standing there with my mouth slightly opened and I was quite sure I wasn't even blinking.
Christopher was the first to move. He came out of the car and walked towards me with a smile on his face. I smiled at him awkwardly. We were friends when we were younger but now we were both adults. He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back awkwardly, patting his back.
"Aye papi, muévase a un lado!" I heard a voice say from behind Christopher. He laughed and he stood back. Oh my god this laugh. I heard it on the internet many times, on Youtube and Instagram, but hearing it in real life sounded different. It sounded familiar and I was thrown back to secondary school and after, when we called each other once a week.
It was Richard who had said it. Christopher pulled me forward and told his 4 friends, "Chicos, this is Dani."
"We know," Erick, the boy with gorgeous eyes said while looking at Christopher. Christopher laughed again and shrugged. I smiled shyly at them while Andrea looked at me from behind them and winked at me. She was jumping up and down from behind them to wink at me.
Christopher saw what she was doing and laughed, looking down at me. I looked up and smiled at him. The boys, who saw Christopher looking behind them and laughing, turned to look at Andrea. She had stopped jumping and were standing there as if she did nothing weird just a few moments before.
Oh Andrea.
"I'm Joel," the boy with a bandana on his head said. I smiled at him. I saw Andrea biting down on her lips. She was trying not to blurt anything out or make any weird noises. Thank god.
"I'm Erick but you can call me tonight," Erick said, causing Richard to hit his head. Andrea laughed at that and I did some small gestures with my head to ask her to stand with me. She walked over and stood beside me with a friendly smile plastered on her face.
"I'm Zabdiel," Zabdiel said to us. Andrea waved at him and I smiled. Moving my hands behind her back, I poked her and she jumped. When the two of us were watching la banda a few years ago, she had a tiny crush on Zabdiel. She turned to look at me, knowing exactly why did that.
"Hola, soy Andrea," she said while still smiling. She hugged the boys and when she hugged Zabdiel, she looked at me and opened her mouth as if she was screaming with a huge smile on her face. I giggled at her actions and looked down at the floor.
"Let's get in the car," Richard said. Andrea and I nodded as we went to put our luggage in the car. Zabdiel, Richard, Joel and Erick went to sit at the back with Andrea. She winked slyly at me before announcing loudly -
"Oh no Dani, it looks like you have to sit in the front with Christopher."
My eyes widened as I realised I was sitting in the front with Christopher. The boys started sniggering and Andrea gave me a slight push before dramatically closing the car door. Shaking my head at her antics, I went to sit in the passenger seat and looked down at my hands.
"How did you know when to pick us up? How did you even know that we were coming to Miami?" I asked Christopher and the boys. I looked at the mirror and saw Andrea sitting in between Zabdiel and Richard while Joel and Erick were sitting in the last row.
She looked at me through the mirror and widened her eyes before smiling and taking a deep breath in. Oh my god, do you see who I'm sitting next to? This is insane! I nodded at her, agreeing.
