Chapter 54 - Baby
"I'm going to get all the pins down," I told Christopher as I went to take a ball. Christopher laughed. I hadn't been able to get all the pins down. There were even a few times when the ball went to the gutter. I wasn't horrible at bowling. The reason why I couldn't play well was because of someone trying his best to distract me. And it worked.
I stood in front of the lane, preparing to roll the bowl when Christopher wrapped his arms around me, including my arms.
"I can't even lift my arms," I said, turning to look at him. He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist instead, releasing my arms. Just as I was about to roll the ball, he started kissing my cheek, almost near my chin and jaw, making the ball slip from my hand.
"Aye no," I put my face in my hands. I had gotten only 6 down.
"Didn't you say that you'd get all the pins down?" Christopher asked.
"I would have if you didn't distract me," I mumbled and Christopher laughed.
"I told you that I had my ways of not letting you win," he said cockily. I rolled my eyes.
"I told you the same thing."
"But yet I'm the one winning."
I stuck my tongue out at Christopher. I know that I said that I was going to try to distract and fluster Christopher, but I had a few problems.
Firstly, I had no idea how to do that.
Secondly, I wasn't paying attention to Andrea when she told me what to do to be more 'wink wink', her words, not mine.
And thirdly, you don't fluster the fluster-er or distract the distraction. Plus, I would probably just embarrass myself.
Christopher went to take a ball before walking to stand before the lane. I tried my best to distract him like what he did to me. I stood in front of him and wrapped my arms around his torso.
"Christopherrr," I dragged out, looking up at him. He placed one hand on my waist as he looked at me and smiled. He winked at me before rolling the ball. He grinned and I sighed, resting my head on his chest. Just from that grin I could tell that he had gotten almost all or all the pins down.
"8 down, I think I can get the other 2," Christopher said. I turned around and saw that the two pins were next to each other. He probably could get them.
"It's not fair, you distract me and I don't even distract you," I told him as he went to take another ball.
"Nila you distract me too," he said, walking back to me and putting one hand around my waist. "You just got more distracted."
He rolled the ball but got only one pin down. "Your turn."
I went to take the ball before standing before the lane. "Just let me have one round without you distracting me."
Christopher nodded as he folded his arms with a smile. I got ready to roll the ball before Christopher called out to me. "Nila?"
"Hmm?"
"Eres bella."
I bit my lips to stop the smile from getting too big. I moved backwards before moving forward again to roll the ball. All the pins were down.
I got a strike!
I turned to grin at Christopher, who rolled his eyes at me. "You got that because of luck."
"I got that because I didn't have any distractions."
"Luck."
"Let's see if you can get a strike with distractions," I challenged him.
