"Aunt Kiara" called Malaika and I.
Kiara and Kovu appeared at the top of pride rock.
"What is it you two" said Kiara worried.
"We were just down that cave looking for those mushrooms that Makini told us about when I over heard people I  the cave talking about attacking the pridelands" I said.
"Really".
"He's right I heard it to" said Malaika.
"I know who they are" said Afya.
They looked at her.
"Afya is that you, you've grown since you were last here".
"There were three sets of footsteps in the cave one belonged to Reath the son of Wazimu, the other was a leopard named Apol, the last one is Ramir the tiger he was trying to gain an assist from Reath and his hyenas".
"Why do they want to attack us well I  an guess why Reath would want to" said Kiara.
"Ramir is after me and he knows that he can't come in pull me from this place so is gaining allies to help".
"Why does he want you Afya".
"Because he is my father".
Kiara and Kovu gasped.
"He wants me to show him how to reach the hybrid oasis so he can kill then all".
My ears perked.
"The what" I said.
Afya looked at me.
"It's a place for hybrids to go to avoid anyone who wants to kill them".
"Why would he want to kill them" said Kiara.
"He follows the ruling of the long dead King Hakimu".
"What"I said.
"I knew you would say that" she said as she smiled "I'm sorry everyone I didn't want anyone to get involved in my mess I..."
"Afya you are one of us and we help and protect those who live here" said Hofu who was now joining us. He was fully grown now. His mane had fully come in. The other members of the lion guard followed they were also older now to. Cheka had scars from the battle against Wazimu. He had scars under each eyes and some that went up and down his legs and back. Tembo was now a large elephant barely able to make it up pride rock. Tai was larger now more able to take out his foes. Jafari was larger too but still very hyperactive.
"Don't worry aunt Kiara the lion guard and I will keep watch for any strange hyenas, leopards, and a tiger".
"Good now you three need to calm down and go relax". We headed down from pride rock.
"I better get home before my parents get worried see you guys later" said Malaika.
Afya started to walk away but I jumped in front of her.
"Afya are you alright".
"I'm okay I just hate that my father is doing this".
"I'm sorry Afya".
"It's okay he's my father not yours".
"No I mean for what I said before when you... left"
"I'm sorry about that too, I should have never reacted the way I did".
"I should have considered your feelings more".
"I...I didn't...really feel that way, I was just scared that if we weren't friends that way then I would lose my only friend but I did that anyway".
"Don't be afraid of that Afya I will always be your friend, I will always be with you, if you want to be friends again".
"Yes, Yes I do" she smiled.
"Okay so what about this oasis for hybrids that you were talking about"
"It's in a mountain valley not far from here, actually that mountain over there" she pointed her tail at a very tall mountain.
"Why are you the key to the place"
"He knows that my mom would tell me the prophecy is supposed to free all hybrids that go there for shelter from Hakimu. With me he can learn where this oasis is and kill everyone inside".
"Well we won't let that happen and we will break them of Hakimu's curse".
"There is a chosen one who will do it, remember back when I said the elders chose you Well your the chosen one".
"Really".
"We must go there and help free them of this curse so they can live happy lives".
"Alright let's..."
"Woah woah we aren't going now, my father likes to patrol around for me on certain days and now that he has hyenas to help I am sure he would find us, so we leave in a couple days when he rests".
"Okay".
"Now you head home I have to make sure he isn't on to us. He is very good at sneaking around and finding out things".
"Alright see you later then
Afya". I walked back to my den. My parents were there pacing back forth waiting for me.
"How did things go" said Fuli.
"We heard that you ran into some trouble while you were there" they said as they nuzzled me.
"I'm fine mom and dad, I'm not a cub anymore".
"But your still our son we will always worry about you" said Fuli.
"I survived a trip to the tree alone with Malaika we were fine then".
"Not the point but what happened" said Kion.
"There were some animals down there plotting to attack the pridelands, we were almost given away by Malaika when Afya came and lead us out of the cave".
"Afya I thought she left" said Fuli.
"I thought so too but one of the animals was her father planning on attacking the pridelands to get to her. He has this leopard that follows him around too."
"Well we can take two people".
"He was getting assistance from a group of hyenas. Wazimu's son".
They gasped.
"I didn't know he had a son" said Fuli.
"I'm sure he wants revenge" said Kion.
"Hofu said him and the guard will keep watch for  any signs of them".
"Hopefully things won't escalate like they did last time" said Kion.
Mom examined my face.
"Is there more".
"Afya told me about this oasis that hybrids inhabit".
They seemed surprised.
"Really".
"Yeah she also said that I was part of a prophecy".
They frowned.
"Well our time off peace was great but now it's back to the grind I guess" said Kion.
"What is the prophecy".
"I don't it fully just that I am supposed to help free the people in the oasis".
"Where is Afya"
"She went to make sure her father wasn't onto us spying on him".
"Well son get some sleep we will figure this out in the morning".
I laid down and went to sleep.
