Traveling at Dusk

Afya POV
I woke the next morning with Msomi laying next to me, he usual is awake by now.
"Don't worry Afya he may sleep longer, tiredness is a symptom" said Osmo.
I nodded.
"We should head out as soon as everyone is ready" I said.
"Right we're just waiting on you guys".
I prodded Msomi with my nose.
"Come on Msomi we need to get back to the pridelands" I said.
He open his eyes and sat up.
"Alright let's go" he stood up fast and started walking but soon fell. I quick leaned against him to keep him from falling.
"Easy Msomi" I said softly.
"Afya you stay close to him and we will follow you" said Osmo.
"Is your balance back Msomi".
"Yeah I think so".
I slowly let go of him and he stayed standing.
"Okay easy now Msomi we traveling at your pace" I said.
"Okay". He slowly walked out of the den that Osmo had made. Cheka, Aba, and Osmo waited for us.
"Alright we are headed this way" said Msomi. He gestured to a far away mountain l, not as large as other one but was still a mountain. Beyond it was the oasis then the pridelands. We started walking.

A few hours later
We have been walking a for a few hours now. Msomi has been struggling alot. We reached the mountain by midday, I could tell he was exhausted. He began to tremble. I leaned against him and laid him down.
"Msomi you need to rest".
"No we need to get back".
"Msomi you need rest"
He sighed.
"Afya my uncle is going to be made a husk".
"Msomi if you keep pushing yourself you will die".
He looked down and coughed.
I nuzzled him.
"I know you want to save him but we can't do that if you are dead, your health is more important than anything now Kiara, Kovu, and your parents would agree".
"Right I'm sorry Afya".
"Yeah Msomi besides Hofu and I can focus on that when return, you just rest up" said Cheka. Aba nuzzled him.
"Afya can I talk to for a minute" said Osmo. I looked down at Msomi not wanting to leave him.
"Go on Afya, Aba and i will watch him" said Cheka.
I reluctantly followed Osmo
"Can you guide us home I don't think Msomi is any condition to focus on walking and navigating. It cause more confusion then he will get from the Dawn Fever"
"I don't want him confused so I will gladly do it. I have traveled all across these lands I should be able to get us there but".
"You lead the way and we will handle him, we will take good care of him".
"Okay"
"Now as our navigator you should know that he can't make it over that mountain".
"That's what I was worring about".
"We will have navigate around it some how" said Osmo.
I began to think then I remembered.
"Or under it".
"What" he said.
"Ramir's lead henchman Reath gets his hyenas around really quickly by using underground tunnels. Msomi and his cousin Malaika would explore those tunnels because of Msomi's weird fascination with humans".
"Okay but where is the nearest one".
"Under that clawed blue rock next to you".
"All right when Msomi is rested we will head down but do you know a way out".
"Of course I used hide from Ramir in them, Ramir doesn't know about them".
We went back to the others to discuss the plan.
