Ch 2

----Dream-----

I was knelt in the bloodied field of Akarnae dead bodies everywhere Jordan, Bear, Xira, Humans, Marian, Jarnocks, Shadow walkers, Dayriders, Flips, and Draekons alike lay dead the on the battle field know as Akarnae. Not even three meters away lay Kaiden his body lifeless. I ran over to him and fell to the ground crying.

"KAIDEN WAKE UP PLEASE COME BACK KAIDEN!!" I screamed between sobs as Aven walked towards me laughing, his wicked laugh earsplitting as he got closer.

"YOU DID THIS." He yelled at me still coming towards me.

"NOOOOOO." I screamed.

----End of Dream----

I was shaken awake by a worried looking Kaiden. I turned and buried my head in his chest. It took a while to calm down enough to look up. When I lifted my head I realized that it was the dead of night, Dix had returned while I was asleep and she was now asleep in her bed, there was also a tray of food for Kaiden and myself at the end of the bed. Kaiden reached out and rested his warm comforting hand on my cheek gently making me look at him.

"Are you okay Alex?" Kaiden said siting up a little.

"Yea, it's n-nothing." Not being able to meet his eyes I looked down at his chest realizing he no longer had a shirt on.

"It clearly isn't nothing, you were screaming in your sleep. Alex please tell me what's wrong?" Assuming he used one of his gifts so my screaming didn't wake Dix up, and knowing he knew when she lied she had to tell the truth.

"Ever since the war I have had nightmares about the other ending, the one were everyone-" I couldn't complete what I was saying but Kaiden knew what I meant so he pulled me in close kissing my forehead.

"I'll take you to see Fletcher in the morning." I opened my mouth to object but he cut me off. "Unless you want to wake up my Aunt and Jeera when we are at my house over the holidays?" I shoke my head in defeat.
