Medoran Chronicles Alex X Kaiden

Ch 13

(Kaiden's P.O.V)
As Alex slept I lay awake holding her close. Everything had changed after the war. Alex had shut down she never talked about what was worrying her, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders but she never let us help. Seeing her hurting was killing me. I have to do somthing to end her suffering. I have to protect her. I slip my arm out from underneath Alex careful not to wake her. Heading to the window I open it wide steping out into the cool air.

"Xira?" I whisper out.

While Alex was distracted while we were out flying I had aranged to meet with Xira so we could go and try and help Alex.

"I'm here." Xira's voice came.

I walked to the edge of the balcony and steped over feeling Xira underneath me. I climed off the balcony onto Xira's back. We flew through the sky heading to Maya. We had to talk to Roka. He would know how to help. Aven is his brother and who better to help get rid of Aven probablams then his brother Roka. Flying all the way to Maya Xira landed out the front of the palace where he would wait for me. I walked inside the palace heading towards the magnificent thrown room where Xira said Roka would wait for me.

"Ah Kaiden James, why did you ask to see me? And in the dead of night?" Roka asked as I walked in.

Roka was king now so he had to act like it. So the pleasentries aside it was straight to buissness.

"King Roka, I have come to ask for your help. Alexendra Jennings, has been haveing nightmares about the Rebal Prince your brother Aven and she often sees your brother outside the painting he was banished to. She has heard him talk to her when it's quite, he threats that he will leave his frozen banishment and will come after her for his revenge. We... Xira and I, Alex doesn't know we are here but Xira and I hoped you would be able to help. His your brother after all and the Marians are much more advanced then us." I explained useing formalaties as if I wasn't his friend not that I was as close to him as Alex.

"Alexandra has helped my people to that I owe her my gradatude. I will help you the best I can." There wasn't long till I had to go.

"I'll be back tomorrow night to discuss for now I must be getting back before Alexandra and D.C wake up. I bid you good night." I say before turning towards the door.

Heading out I hoped back on Xira's back rideing him all the way back to Akanae. Climbing off him and back over the balcany heading back inside. Creeping back over to Alex's bed.

"Where have you been?" Alex askes.

"Sorry I woke you. I just needed some fresh air." I covered.

"For three hours?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

"Y-yes?" Shit she can see right through my lie.

"I'm not gonna ask, I really don't wanna know." She curled back up her head on my chest as she went back to sleep.

I fell asleep not long after knowing I had Roka and his friends to help me help Alex, I couldn't bear seeing her like this in so much pain.

---Time Skip----

I woke late the next morning. Alex was awake before me for once.

"Good Morning, you slept in this morning everything okay?" Alex kissed me on my forehead as I would do her every morning.

"Good Morning!! Why wouldn't everything be okay?" I ask.

"You were up late last night." She said.

"I wasn't tired that's all." Well that's a plan out lie.

"Yea, that's why you slept in?" She got up and grabbed some cloths and got dressed in the bathroom.

I got up from her bed and left heading to my own room to get dressed. I head down to the Arena and trained for a few hours. It was the weekend I didn't have to do anything so I trained. I want to be better so if ever I needed to fight against Aven I could do better. All I wanted to do was keep Alex safe. She was in pain and she wasn't very good at hideing it, she tried but failed I could see through her mask. She couldn't hide it from me. I could see the pain in her eyes, she smiled but it never reached her eyes. She pretended to be okay but she wasn't. I was there when she woke up late at night because of her dreams. I was with her when she cried in the early hours of the morning. I had to help her I hope Roka had found a way to help. We will soon know, I'll go see him tonight with Xira oh talking about Xira I was suppost to meet him in the forest. I put the sword away and head for the forest making sure no one is looking.

"Xira? Xira you out here yet? Xira?" I whisper yelled as I walked through the forest trying to find the giant Draekon.

I headed towards a clearing I saw some movment and as I reached there Xira was waiting.

"We must talk fast I must get back to Draekora." Xira hurried.

"Well we will meet here tonight once the sun goes down. Alex should be asleep by then and so shall everyone else and if not well I have Skyla's powers so I can look like a teacher." He nodd in agreement and takes flight heading home to Draekora.

I head back out of the forest back up to Akanae ready for lunch. Heading in most people were in there so I found a seat with my friends and sat next to Alex.

"Where have you been all morning?" Alex asked.

"I was training." Not a lie but not the whole truth.
